A lash prince. My brother decided to stoop to that level in a 500 point game and I got rolled, killing only the prince and 3 marines.

He had something like:
5 CSM w/ flamer
Daemon prince w/ wings, MoS, and Lash
8 or so khorne berzerkers, champ & powerfist.
Rhino.

What kind of list would you guys suggest fielding? With the lash moving me 2d6 he easily gets the assault, and boyz suck if they get charged.
Basically he has capability of wiping an entire 30 man boyz squad before I attack with him setting up the flamer, shooting pistols and assaulting in
with all CSM, berzerkers, and prince.

You must understand that for an ork a day that starts off killing something with your bare hands, and ends with those same hands being chopped off in battle, is a good one.

What's betta than one choppa? Two choppas!!! Two choppas is one more than...is one times da...IS LOTS MORE FUN!! WAAAAGH!!!

Sit as far back as possible, surround yourself with Gretchin, put the mek with a loota unit and shoot. First shoot the lash out of the sky with all your might. Then focus on the rhino, then the bezerkers in the open, then finally the pitiful 5 man unit left behind.

The solution to any problem with an Ork list is always more Lootas.

Lootas do indeed work fairly well on DPs. Putting a grot screen in front of them without space between makes it so he can't pull or lootas to him. Running a bunch of trukks would work well too because he has 0 ranged anti-tank, thus giving you the advantage, especially if you can destroy his rhino and get the charge on his berzerkers.

Heh...I would support the Lootas in this particular 500 point scenario. I think you'd present a rather unpresent surprise. The gretchin surrounding your Lootas give them a 4+ cover save against shooting attacks, and with 20 of them to play with, you can space them out 2" apart to prevent multi-assaults into your Lootas or flamers from hitting both the gretchin and the lootas.

The one you posted that has 0 close combat abiltity or power klaws or troops units that can actually take hits? Probably not very. Daresay I don't even think it would work all that well against a lash list. Lootas are good at their role which is killing MCs and light vehicles at range but to rely on them exclusively is folly. 1 squad of lootas at most in 500pts IMO. A good all-comers shooty/loota list at 500 might look something like:

Big Mek w/'eavy armour and BP - 35
13 Gretchin - 49
30x shoota boyz, nob with PK, BP, big shoota x3 - 235
12 lootas - 180

The HQ is still fairly useless and you may consider dropping the big shootas and bosspole out of the boyz squad for a burna for the big mek, but this list at least has a threat it can send down the board and the lootas still put 6.67 wounds per turn on the prince on average, likely dropping it in 2 rounds. The big shootas can help with this process.
