Hi Folks,
I just wanted to make a plog about my new my Iron Warrior Army.
I got a S.W battle force just before Christmas but i just could not bring myself to do S.W. Their O.K but I just don’t like them so I took the box back to the store and swapped it for the Chaos battleforce. I have always liked the Iron Warriors ever since I read Storm of Iron.
Saying that, you will clearly notice my Iron Warriors are not technically correct.
They don’t have black shoulder pads and they don’t have the iron skull icon.
And my Honsou conversion has his bionic arm is on the wrong side and he should have only half a face since the other half was burnt off.
Despite the problems I’m quite pleased with how they turned out.
Sorry the pictures are not the best right, as the project progress I hope to post better ones.
Anyway here you go,
These are some chaos ‘workmen’ types. I wanted to do a horde of civilians a while back that I could use in narrative games, these are the result. I would consider them dregs of society not even at the same level as cultists or traitor guardsmen.
There are no current rules for them so they are for now purely for display or maybe I will try making them into a Nerco gang.
Anyway till the next update!

Great stuff - very cohesive feel to the army! What heads are you using on the Cultists?

Your army looks awesome.. The wash or whatever you used looks great.
Although not ideal you could use the cultists as demons. You could say they were popping out of sewers or hiding places like the vermin they are.
Cause something that cool needs to see battle.

Hi Folks,
Well it’s been a long time since I posted on my log but I have got some to show off!
First up is three more new champions all finished.
The middle (centre) guy is called Turrok and is armed short handled war axes ideally suited for real close up encounters. Turrok can handle two such weapons buy injecting muscle and bone growth drugs directly into his arms. This makes him a bit techy!
The guy next to him with the green eyes (left) is called the newborn, a child solider of the Iron Warrior 16th company’s auxiliary. Forcible turned into a Iron Warrior deamonic hybrid he is pretty insane. He carries a giant war axe suitable for chopping Ork Nobz into with one swipe.
The guy on the right is called Brutus, and he is earns his name sake. A brute of a traitor marine but honest to a fault. He also carries a massive war axe into battle (the weapons are only privileged to the proven champions of the 16th so are carried by several champions and is often considered a symbol of statues as well as brutal weapon of war. The 16th have severed all links to the rest of the ‘legion’ so are forced to scavenge replacement weapons, the Khrave (Ork nob sized aliens) produce extremely brutal close combat weapons which have become very fashionable in the 16th. Such weapons can only be taken by killing its previous Khrave owner, hence the statues. They count as power weapons in games and it gave me a chance to use up some of the nob bitz I have and I have a ton of them!).
Next up is my Warsmith, Xerxes. A warrior beyond known measure he towers over dreadnoughts and carnifexs and fears none of them. Why such a warrior is not stomping a deamon world beneath his clawed heel in the Eye of Terror is unknown for now. But now he leads the 16th Company, a renegade Iron Warrior company. Split from the Legion and branded a traitor by his own, Xerxes now pushes the boundaries of the known galaxy aboard his warship the Scimitar. Whatever his mission, he has the ‘goods’ to back it up, by using one of the finest plastic kits Games workshop have ever produced, its simple and sexy. Exactly what’s promised on the box. At first I was unsure of wear to paint hazard stripes but I guessed the blade is a rather good place.
And here are some of my new recruits, Gannacus (twin swords), Vrakk (custom auto cannon), Slyrax (shield and power spear AND CYBORG HEAD), as you may of guess of name every one of my Iron Warriors, but I’m not clever enough to think of a 100 odd cool names so I steal from everywhere! Also my champions have a gladiator style to them, that’s because I have now become the number one fan of Sparatcus in the world!

Thank you, yes I use Ork nob parts on my of my Iron Warriors, they add a brutal look to them. And i try to use as many of the cyork parts as I can.
Here is more stuff I've been working on. First up is a picture of my two rhinos with improved paint jobs. A mark 1 and mark 2. I love the mark 1, tho its a tad smaller than the mark 2.
Here are some of my plasma and melta guns, I love to use all kinds of resin heads and try to use as many as I can. I think the toxic gas mask from Puppetwars look the part. The metal jaw guy is also from Puppetwars.
And this is a work in progress shot of one of my gladiator style Iron Warriors (I'm well into Spartacus right now).
Painting has now ground to a halt as I came home yesterday and caught a burglar in my house! I ended up with a broken rib and he had to jump at of a 1st floor bedroom window to escape. So till things settle I doubt I will get much more done.

Hi Guys,
its been a while since i last posted some of my stuff.
So this is a quick update of my Iron Warriors, now known as the 16th Company.
This picture was taken about in my hotel room when i was at the L.O meet at Warhammer World.
This is the army at around 1750pts.
I plan on adding 2 more rhinos and a LandRaider in Iron Warriors colours. I also plan on adding a large squad of 'zerker's but in renegade Imperial marine colours so pretty much converted like my Iron Warriors but painted yellow/blue/red whatever. I'm also going to get a Storm Raven for the hell of it! And I'm going to convert some minor xeno (counts as lesser daemons) to use allied mercs. And a squad of Night Lords in Mark 3 armour with jump packs as counts as Raptors.
Any ideas which would be the bext xenos to have a go at converting? I've got 24 of the chapter house stealer heads which i want use but not sure of which
bodies to mount them on, i did think to give them a weird alien look i could try them on pink horror bodies?? Ideas welcome!

Same, and same. I actually love your chaos army, especially the most recent shot. Can we get some more pics of the newer additions?
As for the xenos ideas, this might sound a bit far fetched but you could use kroot with the large tentacle heads? It would be disproportionate to the extreme, and very alien.

I really dig the look of your army. The whole pit slave/gladiator aspect your champions have going is 100% pure awesome. It's an aspect of the fluff that isn't explored enough, and I like the road you're taking with it. Your painting is pretty good, and your army looks really good and cohesive.
My sole complaint here is the lack of caution stripes. You've got them on your vehicles, but not many on your Marines! How will they know where to be cautious? I like the subtle ways you've worked it in on a few weapons here and there, but I'm of the opinion that one shoulderpad should be pure caution stripes on every Iron Warrior.
Good work overall!

I really like the brassy-gold trim color you're using! What's your recipe?
Have you thought about a different color scheme for your bases? (I know, now is not the best time to bring it up) It blends in a lot with your marines.
Keep up the good work!
