Hey folks.
I'm just about to attempt to add some rust style colour onto my Nurgle guys armour.
Can anyone give me the best base & high light colours to add to it to make it look good.
I was thinking something along the lines of a base coat of bestial brown with a light highlight of either Tin Bitz or Brazen Brass.....
Any thoughts would be much appreciated....
Cheers.

I have always thought that rust would be much easier to do with dry pigment powders, like the stuff the forgeworld and a few other companies make. I am not really sure how to do it with just normal paints though....

I can heartily recommend MIG pigments for doing rust. I've done a few Nurgle marines with weapons rusted with dark rust and light rust and it looks great without a lot of work.
With paint I've done small areas with bestial brown highlighted with orange which looked ok. My current plague marines have a coat of tin bitz on the metal as that's a nice dark metallic colour but I plan to go over that with pigments.

Tin bitz with a light drybrush of blazing orange on top looks pretty good and is really simple.
