So if I understand that 8 page thread about the Blood Angels correctly, the new codex may include a special character from the Flesh Tearers chapter. I dusted off my original copy of Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader and confirmed that this chapter is painted black with yellow detailing while the Blood Drinkers, Blood Angels, and Flesh Eaters are all painted red. So who wants to be hardcore and paint up a Flesh Tearers army in black?

He's got a point...
Are you going to do this?
Did you mean for this to be in the P&M section?
A blog maybe?

Flesh Tearers are black and red now if I recall correctly, with white sawblades on their shoulderpads. I'm tempted to start an army of them, but I've got enough power armor on my painting table.

Of course you could paint them the RT way for nostalgia and call anyone who fails to get the reference or says Flesh tearers are RED, well just call em a NooB.

I rather like the most recent color scheme for the Flesh Tearers.
You could always add in more black here and there too...

Back in Rogue Trader, a lot of armies were differently-colored. For example, Dark Angels wore black armor, as opposed to dark olive of 2E and Salamander green starting in 5th... Perhaps the black & yellow color scheme is their pre-Heresy scheme?

In second edition, Ultramarines Codex, the Blood Angels only have three successor chapters listed: Encarmine, Sanguine, Vermilion.
In the third edition Marine Codex, the BA had the Blood Drinker and Flesh Tearers added as successors.
In Rogue Trader, if you notice, the Tearer's saw symbol has a round hole, not a blood drop on it. I believe the Tearers were not a Blood Angels successor during RT, but retconned to be successors later.
