Did anyone else find the premise of MW2 ridiculous or at least a little far-fetched?

I mean the idea that the
Spoiler:
russians after finding one american national at the site of a massacre would decide to invade the USA despite there being no apparent motive.
And the Russians managing to not only hack our satellites but assemble a large enough force to make a bid for a successful invasion of the USA without anyone noticing?


I mean in later levels when you're fighting in
Spoiler:
the streets of the US and later around the capitol building and the dramatic music is playing intended to make it a stirring experience all I can think is yeah right.


Also as a side note, why- in a game that's striving for realism- would you have exploding cars and barrels?
