I did a quick search and couldn't find anything specific already asked.
I was playing a game at the weekend. There was a unit close to the table edge, big blast template scattered off the first model and scattered so 45% was off the table, the center hole and rest still on the table, and covered 1 model. Now, there were cries that the hit was null and void as it scattered off the table, but there was also calls of legit as the center hole was still on the table.
Dakka, what say you??

Only the centre scattering off causes the shot to miss.

Yeah it is the center that matters if that is on the table then place the marker there even if that means it is only a semi-cyrcle on the table.

Yup, the hole has to be off the table, otherwise it's still valid.

Does the whole of the hole have to be on the table? What if the hole itself is partially off?

I'd say center of the hole has to be on the table, the rules aren't explicit enough.

If any part of the centre is off, you can say the hole is no longer on the table - jsut the way the language works in this instance.

If the center is about half on and half off just do a roll off. If the center is on the table then the shot is still good.

The likelyhood of this happening...seriously...just 4+ it.
