I've been reading about possible new High Elf models for WFB this coming soonish- anyone hear anything about this?

Possible proof of High Elves in the new rumored Starter Set?

That would be pretty soon for a revamp, considering other books need it more. But hey, HE are popular so who knows.

Oh, I don't mean by book standards - more in terms of models.

Seems Warseer's suggesting a revamp of cavalry rules this coming summer, along with new plastic cavalry for various armies. link.

REALLY hoping for new High Elf cavalry, after how beautifully the Dark Elf Cold One Knights came out.

Heck, it's time to redo the Spearmen and Archers too.

For both Dark and High Elves, frankly.

I want some all plastic white lions, sword masters, and phoenix guard por favor.

Oh OK, well that certainly makes sense.

If it is just models I am all for it. But I like the book to much right now to even think of changing.

It'll be nice to have High Elves in the new boxset as they were in the first boxset way back in forth edition and were the first models I had with the Goblins

Compared to the OLD archers and spearmen, the current ones are just dandy

New calvary would be awesome! I definitely the horses are the weakest part of the models for dragon princes...

Agreed (though the current Spears could do with re-do).

Definitely agreed on the Dragon Princes, though I'd LOVE a plastic set comparable (price and quality) to their Dark Elf counter-parts.

yes, Dragon Princes in plastic, would make me smile for weeks.

Any of the special infantry ones in plastic would be nice, I only have a sizable block of white lions now.

If GW is redoing DE infantry, maybe they can restyle more like the 5E metals.

From what I gather from that Warseer link I posted above, DE are likely getting new Dark Rider and Chariot models.

Egh, guess the title was a bit badly written - was mostly trying to see if anyone could confirm the rumors, rather than being confirmations of said rumors and conjecture. Hence the question mark....will look into changing it.

There is no point redoing silver helms until they redo the army book because noone takes them because for some idiotic reason they are not core....

Dragon princes would be good in plastic, and would be nice to get a special unit selection for HE (not a chariot) that is plastic.

Or they could do a combination Silver Helm/ Dragon Prince kit.

Extra fiddly bits to make them Dragon Princes.

I know I'd definitely be dropping some cash on them. So long as the sculpting is closer to the DE plastic sculpts and not like, say, Razorgors.

Y'know, I'm thinking that--once again--the issue on Razorgors is the paint job.

It's those eyes that throw me off.

The High Elves im hoping for:

Plastic White Lions ( they can do it , like the Lion Charriots )
Plastic Phoenix Guard / Sword Master : I want these to be in the SAME kit ( yes thats right , but how? ) same way as Reavers in Corsair box work.

Silver Hlems : New plastic and troop choice.

Dragon Prince: New metal model , with option to ride lesser dragons similar to sun dragons.

Ever Queen and Maiden Guards: Metal

Plastic Archers: New , comes with light armor.

Plastic Spearmen : New , comes in box of 15

The Dark Elf infantry box models are horribly disproportioned. They look like midgets with their too short bodies and way too long arms. When built as crossbowmen the arm length becomes less obvious and they are somewhat acceptable to look at, but the spearmen are just hideous.

Keep living the dream Lunahound.

You've got no chance of that wish list.
The current metal models sell too well.
