X planet has generously offered to run a qualifying tournament for Conquest Saturday May 25th.

Entry $20 ($15 will go into prize pool)
1,850 point armies
Models must be fully assembled. Armies need not be fully painted.
We will be using Conquest Toronto scenarios.
Games will be set at 6 rounds.
To prevent players from “wasting” time or “sandbagging” we will be using Death Clock. Each player will be allotted 50 minutes to complete their game (combined for a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes). If a player runs out of time he loses the game.

Assuming 16 players, prizes will be as follows:
1st place- $120 + Ticket to Conquest Toronto Singles Tournament
2nd place- $80
3rd place- $40

Chapter approved Forge World models allowed.

Lionel runs a great store in Mississauga that you should all definitely check out. As noted, first place also get a free ticket to our Singles event June 2nd, if you've already bought a ticket you can give it to somebody else or we can refund you your money. Hope to see you all there!

I thinks so, we're going to drop by Legends to see if we can get a table first.

Last week when I went, it was filled with MTG but there was 2 tables open one with terrain all over it but yeah.

Hey guys, I'm getting back into Warhammer 40K and I'd like to play a few games with an experienced player so I can brush up on my gaming knowledge and skills. I know the basics of 40K but I've forgotten alot. I'm running a small set of vanilla marines (painted to a high standard) and I've got a ton of IG and Tau on the way (will not play with them until they're painted). If anyone wants to game tonight or sunday either drop a message here or PM me.

EDIT: I live in Bolton but have a car and can drive out to Legends or Langstaff GW.

Welcome to the forums. I am pretty good with rules and know the Space Marine codex pretty well. I would be glad to teach you how to battle in the 41st millennium. Just let me know when you are free.

Just be aware Legends opens at 11am and closes at 9pm, I think. They are not open Mondays. GW Langstaff is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, but pretty much has the same hours as Legends.

Hey, welcome back to the 40k scene. We have a pretty active group that plays at legends and are always happy to see new faces. I'd say for this weekend that the GW at langstaff would be your better bet, legends is doing a very large MTG tournie this weekend and all their tables have been converted to make space. I'm always happy to play beginner games with people, it lets me play fun or fluffy lists which is how i prefer to play anyways. Best way to find a game is to post a time and point level and someone will usually answer pretty quickly to set up a place.

Despite an unexpectedly busy schedule, I'm free to meet up wednesday between 10am and 1pm, near brampton or Legends. The closer to Bolton/Caledon the better. Let me know.

Normally I'd be up for a game on Wednesday, though most stores don't open till 11am during the weekdays, but I'm going up to my cottage till Friday to do some roofing. I will be back down on Friday though so kungfu if we are still looking to game this Saturday I am definitely up for it. Whether it is the massive apoc game with teams of players, or our smaller apoc size I'm up for either.

Well, regardless of how many people are in, I put aside my "army" and just added up all the points of Chaos marines as they are, wysiwyg, and I'll be good for 6000.
I've got something like 500ish points to spend on wargear/marks that aren't already painted/glued on, but between just upgrading my guys with gear they would normally have (like invulnerable saves on my lords), I should have a very appropriate army; ie tons of boots on the ground, and nothing that smacks of win at all costs. I think I'm even down to the last 200 odd points if I just add in the basic upgrades I can't live without. I'm always shocked at the how hard it is to find 25 points to take a 4++ save on your warlord in either a 1500 point game or a 6000 point game. If you wanted to bring an extra 1000 points I could easily fill that up, although that might just be because chaos has so many upgrades possible.

So, who does for a game this week?

So another Magic Prerelease and Release weekend is over and the gaming area at Legends Warehouse getting back to normal.
Even with this Sunday's Magic Draft and Pokemon Vaughan Open, we still were able to squeeze in two 40k Games.
As of this morning all of our tables are back in regular use.

Sadly Rythem, I can't do Saterday. I've got the kid on Saterday, but I'm good for Sunday if that works for you. Also, I have 7000-8000 points of Chaos, so I have some tough choices to make.

Oh Ok, perhaps we can take a rain check I was actually hoping you could play at noon as well at Legends though. Not a fan of entering a GW store.
