Here's a conversion I whipped up today. Something I'll probably do in the future (as soon as I can, anyways) is buy male Arcadian heads and start decapitating my current Cadians to go for a hybrid look (2nd edition heads and plastic bodies).

Spoiler:

Great quality resin, reminds me of Forgeworld, except less work is required for it.

And that is why I asked for IG sized shoulder pads, which another manufacturer is now making.

I think we have the same idea about our own Cadians.

Ah. Right. I'm with ya now. I hadn't noticed the shoulder pads you probably painstakingly carved off.

Nah, they're Valkyrie shoulder pads from eBay. I may be crazy, but I'm not masochistic!

Sweet. Thank you Vic. Will your shoulders fit the smaller female models?

They were modeled to fit the guys, but I don't see why they would not fit the girls, I'll try it when I get the first casts.
BTW, happy new year everyone, and thanks so much for supporting Vic minis in 2014

Did you get the heroic or the regular scale heads?

I feel the heroic may be too big for Vic's Girls....but those regular scale heads I mistakenly ordered ( scroll back LOL) are perfect.

Just a tip....keep a log book for all bitz, headz, swap parts you may order. I got some great heads that are scaled perfectly for Arcadians....and its been 6 months and no idea where I got them from :(

The heroic scale beret heads aren't out yet, though I do own a pack of heroic scale regular heads and they are a perfect match for Vic's Arcadians. Do NOT buy the non-heroic heads for these, unless you want girls to walk around with tiny heads.

Now that I've finally finished a platoon of the metal kilted troops, it's time to plan buying up more of the resin versions.

Interesting. I have the smaller heads on my work table and they scale up with Vic's....while I thought the heroic scale were a little too large for regular Cadians.

Sir Bubbles wrote:Hey Victoria, was there ever a resin kit released for the Broolian Beastmen? I think they're some pretty sweet models and I'd like to get my hands on them. I'm not a big fan of working with metal, but if that's what it comes to then so be it. I'm just wondering if there was ever an alternative kit released at some point, but it doesn't look like it.

Working on it, hope to be a few months off. I plan to release them as a 10 man squad with bare universal arms. I think they would look particularly cool with the AK Autoguns.

can I just add a +1 to this - I would love some of those beastmen in resin please
any more news on an e.t.a?

So, do y'all like your grenade launchers to be single shot or multi-shot affairs?

It's nice, but it doesn't quite work for the new modular style arms, otherwise I agree with you. It's just not cost effective for Vic to have 6+ sculpts for the same weapon, and it doesn't fit in well with the modular concept.

Ah, I see. Well, just so long as the current grenade launcher stays on sale, I'll be happy, seeing as I want a wee bit of consistency in my platoons.

I can't speak for Vic/make commitments on her behalf, but I doubt they'll disappear any time soon, hehe.

They are quite nice, I've got several of them mixed in with my Arcadians and with my traitor guard.

Good news! The burny things are headed off to the prototypers. Along with some other special nice things.

And I'll have the Matilda tomorrow. Yes, I am rubbing it in, I'm a bad human being.
