But i remember reading somewhere that squadrons need to be equipped the same way?

It says a vendetta can be equipped with a pair of heavy bolter sponsons for 10 points.
Does that mean for 10 pts i get the 2?

So 5 pts for 1 hvy bolter , is there any reason to not get it?

Yes, it's two Heavy Bolters for 10 points total.

They're a good idea if you're taking a Vendetta, as you'll probably only combat speed, allowing you to fire all the Lascannons and Heavy Bolters. They're a pretty poor choice for Valkyries, as you'd rather move 12" and fire just the rocket pods and multilaser.
