kind of a weird topic for a gaming forum but i figured i'd throw it out there to all of you guys.
i need a new roof for my home but lack the ~6k itll take to have one installed.
my question to you guys is are there any organizations or ideas that i might be missing to help me make this happen?

The other option is doing it yourself.
I just went through this three months ago. Fortunately, my best friend knows all about this, so I was able to borrow him for a few days. That and some extra muscle from my son and two brothers. I will say this: I better be dead before my house needs another roof job.
I was probably looking at 6-7k to have it done. Doing it personally kept the costs to < 3k.
Do you have to remove what's there, or can you add another layer. Removing the old layer was a rotten, tiring process, which ate up about three days.

right now i have a tile roof so id have to remove that first.
im also pretty sure id go through the roof... im not too light on my feet anymore

doing it yourself is the cheaper of the ways like eerything else, but are youlooking more for a 20 year or 40 year roof? This makes a difference in price, you could also do a finance on the home to cover it.

you have to have equity in the home for that though dont you? i lost all equity i had in the home when the housing market took that nose dive a year or so back. the value of my house got cut just about in half.
