Hi there,
started to work on some custom SpaceHulk Terminators. When I have some more free time I'll start building a whole custom SpaceHulk and add the Genestealers as well, but with my limited amount of time I just got to work on some of the Terminators.
The Terminators are painted in the old black Deathwing scheme (hard to find any reliable sources for this scheme so it's mostly how I imagine it should look like.)
The first one is finished, the rest still very WIP, but have a look yourself.
Front,
side and
back of Brother Lucius.
Groupshot of LCs, AC and Sergeant (as you can see a lot of work to do with them).
Further process will be posted here (at the moment I have exam to do, so hardly any time to paint at all) and can be followed in my blog.
C&C are very welcome.
Cheers Cleutin

Interesting take on these minis. I'm impressed that you've tried to something other than Blood Angels. Look forward to seeing them finished.

Here is my fallen termies, which made from space hulk.
Hope these help your idea.

The painting and conversion looks good to me.
One problem that you may run into is the base size.
I'm not sure if you plan on using a regular space hulk board but if you are 40mm bases start to get a little tight when placed in a line as so often happens.

Thx for those kind words.
@Sir Motor: Thanks for the picture, then I'm not that far from the truth with my interpretation But I somehow dislike the the pattern on the chainfist, think I'll stick with my simple yellow stripes.

Yeah I know the problem already, a friend of mine has a copy of the original board and those squares are *** small. That's why I'll build my own board with slightly larger squares to fit those bases in.

What's the scale like on the space hulk to normal mini's? I've heard space hulk is bigger.
Thanks.

Umm, to be honest I have no clue, because I've never seen the terminators in reality. The genestealers however didn't seem to be bigger than the 40k ones, but only the model itself. Most of them are standing on some kind of tubes or something else and are therefore a bit taller than normal ones (could be interesting due to the current LOS rules). The BroodLord is also a bit taller, because he's also standing above groundlevel.
A friend of mine tried to rebase the genestealers to play them in his tyranid army and he somehow struggled with the bases they are coming with, because they are sometimes longer than regular 25cm bases.
Maybe someone else can say something about the size of SpaceHulk terminators.
@Death Gear: Thanks buddy

The Terminators and Stealers are pretty much the same size.
It's a combination of the additional details, chains, cloth, halos, bases etc and the dynamic posing of the Spacehulk models that make them look quite a bit bigger.
The plastic SH Broodlord is far bigger than the standard metal model.
