Subject: Can Calgar be Effective/Competitive at 1850?

Title says it all. Can Calgar be shoehorned into an 1850 list? I understand he's not the survival powerhouse of Lysander or the firepower buffer of Vulkan, but he has solid CC ability and makes the army able to basically ignore Morale. Is there a way to make him part of a reasonably strong army?

If you can afford him, I could see the value in adding him (with his armor of Antilochus) to an Assault Terminator squad. I'd probably then take plenty of Troops choices with Locator Beacons. Just for the lulz, I'd sacrifice a fair amount of my fast attack and and heavy support allotment to go nuts on Honor Guard squads in Drop Pods. Can you imagine raining down all those power weapons with +2 armor saves? Salivating. This thread inspired me to come up with this list.

I played a guy the other day using Calgar with just his power armour and as expected did well. But his combat prowess isn't in question he's a beast no doubt about that but at 250 points is he worth it?
Personally I think not, but I usually run a Librarian and Chaplain Cassius for less than. I have Calgar in Terminator Armor and his Honor guard but only ever fielded him in a Apocalypse game

I wonder if he would be better with Terminators, not sure if the honor guard are better or not. But since he's my favorite SM character, i'd like to see a good list with him, probably 2000 points though minimum.
