earlier today i had a thought , it seems to me that sanguinas and night haunter seem to be two opposites ,
aka as in sanguinas was loved by all the primarchs whereas konrad was hated by practically all of them ,
and sanguinas being practically the opposite as his legions symbol seemed to be angelic whereas night haunters was deamonic

thoughts?

" rogal dorn a name that resonated a burning hatred of the iron warriors took all the pleasure of the victory , he was weak fool that should be cast down and broken into the wind , it was so called "primarchs" like him and roubute guillaman who were weak and led to the deaths of many innocents , for the iron warriors could not hope to achieve the easy victories the other legions had , it was surrender at the start or total annihaltion for all and any that the other primarchs had led petrubro to doing , and some even say that this was the start of the iron warriors path to darkness and terror that they had treaded so long ago , "it was true he thought the path to hell is paved with good intentions"........ "

pre/during/and post heresy for gladius and his iron warriors : a wip

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

Where are you getting that Night Haunter was hated by all of the Primarchs? To my knowledge it was Alpharius the was disliked the most, for being found last and the others not liking his way of handling combat. Even then it was more of a distrust than a hate, only Calgar despised him.

EDIT also its Sanguinius

like dorn and perbuto both one could build a impenetrable fortress and the other was the master of the siege
the lion cold and calculating Russ savage and direct

Then it would cut itself.

In the end, SoB are uppity female canines who enjoy their faith in the emperor so much, I'd say they themselves are no longer truly human. They've given up normal life in exchange to become bolter-bitches.

Dorn didn't like Corax.

Guilliman vs Corax. One is too strict for a catholic school nun and the other likes to experiment.

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

I would have said Corax (perfect surgical strikes) and Angron (kills every one).

As far as I can see, most of the primarchs seem to have a opposite side for at least some reason. Note that, some of them, like Ferrus and Fulgrim don't actually have to be sworn enemies.

Perturabo vs Dorn (as far as playing with building blocks go)
Guilliman (rigid discipline, honorable combat and overwhelming firepower) vs Alpharius (flexible thinking, avoiding combat, sneak attacks)
Russ and Magnus on the topic of warp magic
Corax and Angron
Fulgrim and Ferrus (the artist and the craftsman)
Mortarion (has a clinical disregard for all lives, his legion including) and Vulkan (the most concerned with issues such as the fate of the people they're fighting for)
The Lion (the knight in shining armor, valiantly charging into the fray) and the Khan (the master of hit and run attacks).

I would have said...
The Lion: Most feminine of all the primarchs, Wears Dresses while hiding "in the closet"
Russ: Manliest of all the primarchs, drinks beer and enjoys the lamentations of the women.

THE HORUS HERESY: Emprah: Hours, go reconquer the galaxy so there can be a new golden age. Horus: But I should be Emprah, bawwwwww! Emprah: Magnus, stop it with the sorcery. Magnus: But I know what's best, bawwwwww! Emprah: Horus, tell Russ to bring Magnus to me because I said so. Horus: Emprah wants you to kill Magnus because he said so. Russ: Fine. Emprah's always right. Plus Ole Red has already been denounced as a traitor and I never liked him anyway. Russ: You're about to die, cyclops! Magnus: O noes! Tzeentch, I choose you! Bawwwww! Russ: Ah well. Now to go kill Horus. Russ: Rowboat, how have you not been doing anything? Guilliman: . . . I've been writing a book. Russ: Sigh. Let's go. Guilliman: And I fought the Word Bearers! Horus: Oh shi--Spess Puppies a'comin? Abbadon: And the Ultramarines, sir. Horus: Who? Anyway, this looks bad. *enter Sanguinis* What are you doing here? Come to join me? Sanguinius: *throws self on Horus's power claws* Alas, I am undone! When you play Castlevania, remember me! *enter Emprah* Emprah: Horus! So my favorite son killed my favorite daughter! Horus: What about the Lion? Emprah: Never liked her. Horus: No one does. Now prepare to die! *mortally wounds Emprah*Emprah: Au contraire, you dick. *kills Horus* Dorn: Okay, now I just plug this into this and . . . okay, it works! Emprah? Hellooooo? Jonson: I did nothing! Guilliman: I did more nothing that you! Jonson: Nuh-uh. I was the most worthless! Guilliman: Have you read my book? Dorn: No one likes that book. Khan: C'mon guys. It's not that bad. Dorn: I guess not. Russ: You all suck. Ima go bring the Emprah back to life.

Precisely. To say that the Lion can calculate anything beyond his feminine dreams and chubby from his Legion is insanity.

The most obvious parallels:

Lion El'Jonson and Leman Russ: both of them have complete and utter different views on the way that war should be waged. The Lion is a meticulous planner, but a standoffish figure who was not a oparticularly inspiring leader. The Wolf uses tactics on the fly, but not much strategy, but is charismatic and likable to the extreme. Despite their differences, which drove other Primarchs to Chaos, they both remained loyal, and if the SW dex to to be beleived, became great friends.

and for all the Russ fanboys speaking down to the Lion for having hair like a glam rocker- do recall that Russ could not beat Lion. Despite everything that drove Horus sh*t scared, and Magnus with his three eyes between his buttcheeks to the warp, The Lion did what they really couldn't- held off Russ.

Perturabo and Rogal Dorn: Both seige specialists, one dogged and honest, while the other is scheming and jealous.

Night Haunter and Corax: Both of them being quiet, stopic figures, and driven to the point of sanity by the deeds they had done during the Heresy.

Sanguinius and Fulgrim: If only for the fact that they are both widely considered as being incredibly beautiful, and deadly in combat- nailing 2 Primarchs and snapping Bloodthirster spine respectively.

Robute Gulliman and Alpharius: The tacticians, if you will, on each side of the conflict.

Ferrus Mannus and Montarion: Both of them driven hard to the core by their home environments. Ferrus being the man of steel, and Monty being Captain Disease.

Angron and Jaghatai Khan: They are both warriors to the core who delve deeply into enemy lines, hitting as hard and decisively as possible. I guess being sat on a bike stops you wanting to yell for Khorne?

Lorgar and Horus: Lorgar joined Chaos very willingly, while Horus was tricked into it by any number of sources.

Vulkan and Magnus: Both of them are unloved, red headed/eyed step children. The butt monkeys of the Heresy.

My take on it, leastways.
