I've started buying some sets to build a pure GK list. This is what I have so far:

Grand Master - Using the FW model
GK Troops: 4GK & 1 Justicar
GK Troops: 4GK & 1 Justicar
GK Terminators: 4 + Brother-Captain
GK Terminators: 4 + Brother-Captain
GK Terminators: 2 + Brother-Captain
GK Dread
GK LRC

Total: 1469

Any advice? Would it be better to drop the Grand Master to a lower HQ? Should I drop 1 set of Terminators and up the model count on the troops? Should I add some Assassins?

Pat that askala, O-H-I hate this stupid state

If i remember correct you can only take assassins if you take an inquisitor. In a 1500 pt. list a GM will help alot but the problem is GKs die just like SM. You probably need to drop one squad of termies and replace with more PAGKs to cheapen your list a little so you can afford another LR. In order to get that second LR drop the dread.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

10 scoring meq's between 2 squads? That sounds like a recipe for disaster. I agree with Vindi, drop a unit of terminators and add some PAGK

wait wait wait wait... huh..?

Ideally at this points level you should have at least 15-17 scoring PAGK, 20 would be preferable though.

Vindi and Fox are right, you need more scoring GK

Pure GK face a lot of challenges in 5th edition. Lack of Melta weapons outside of the LRC is probably the biggest.

Get more Land Raiders. Pure GK only get 1 dedicated transport, so you may as well get as many as you can. Foot slogging your expensive Grey Knights is a really bad idea, especially if nothing has Psycannons. As it stands, your current list is going to suffer against mech (no melta or high strength weapons to deal with armour), horde (not enough bodies or shots to take down 30+ models per turn) and gunline (no mech to survive shooting).

If I were to run pure GK and had enough time and money, here's what I would run:

Grand Master - 3 x Terminator retinue, psycannon
Grey Knight Squad - Justicar, 6 GK, 2 Incinerators
Grey Knight Squad - Justicar, 6 GK, 2 Incinerators
LRC - Multi-Melta
LR
LR

The GM and retinue go inside the LRC and go after MC, big Daemons or silly Eternal Warriors who think they're invulnerable to GK Force Weapons.
The Grey Knight squads snipe from range and then go after hordes. Tank Shock large hordes so they bunch up to one side, then get out and use your 2 x Incinerators to take out the mob.

That's basically it. A lot of armies out there won't be able to deal with 3 LR on the board, especially at this points level.

One way to run "PURE" GK is:

Pack all your men in Landriders.

Wait for the end of game and hope that they won't die.

And,

Is there any other effective way?

Oh I know! Foot slogging as many basic Grey Knights as possible. Something like...

Brother-Captain
9 Grey Knights + Justicar
9 Grey Knights + Justicar
9 Grey Knights + Justicar
9 Grey Knights + Justicar
9 Grey Knights + Justicar
9 Grey Knights + Justicar

...for when you want to give your friends an easy win, you know, boost their confidence a bit.

Sadly this is 100% true.
GKs are so ruined by now that the only way to stand a chance winning with them is playing 100% unfluffy and chickening the game out in as many landraiders as the points allow for.
