Drew blanks for Ice Climbers, Lucas, Ness, Pichu, Pit, Toon/Young Link, Wolf and Zero Suit Samus

And Doctor Mario is clearly not a distinct character

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the Yarrick, cap Falcon resemblance.

Erm, truth be told, I can't exactly recall... I think I might have imagined his arms there behaving like GAW's various implements?

I think this thread should quite clearly be the beginning of a nintendo themed army

Personally, I don't get half of em, but meh. I do get Samus though... Mmmmm, Samus. That Tau is the only Tau I'd ever play, IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN!

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

I have actually put thought to making a Pokémon-themed Hive Fleet before. Mostly just converting 'nid models to vaguely resemble a Pokémon's form, with an appropriate paint job.

Tyrants losing Bio-Plasma and Warp Blast makes Mewtwo and Charizard a difficult fit. Mister Mime Tyrant Guards would still be workable, though.

Gengar works perfect for Deathleaper.

Venomoths would look great as Zoanthropes.

Kadabra could fit a Hive Guard.

Ponyta might work for a Pyrovore.

Kingler perhaps works well as a CC Tervigon, with Krabby Termagants.

Hitmonlee isn't bad for Warriors. Scyther is epic win for Shrikes.

Gastly and Haunter are still fine for Genestealers and Broodlord.

Pikachu and Doduos are pretty good Hormagaunts. I'd attach the Hormagaunt talons to their heads as 'ears' for Pikachu, and replace the talons with hears for Doduo. Nidonran will pass as Spinegaunts, despite that unit being overpriced fail.

Ekans and Arbok are perfect burrowing Rippers and Raveners. Dugtrio will rock, too.

Zubat will be fine for Skyslashers, with maybe Beedrill as Parasite spawning Weedle Rippers.

Koffing is begging to be a Spore. And Bulbasaur is a great Biovore.

Graveller will work as a Carnifex.

Blastoise will be an epic Tyrannofex.

Onyx is perfect for Trygon.

And those Plasma Hatcher things, with the top half red and bottom half white... you know where I'm going with this

Oh, hell. I can't not make this army now, with the thought of covering the table with giant Pokéballs and shouting 'Venomoth, I choose you!' as I blow up Land Raiders and stuff

That sounds awesome. I NEED to see it (I'm not making it though, nids = lame)

In a Society in which there is no law, and in theory no compulsion, the only arbiter of behaviour is public opinion. But public opinion, because of the tremendous urge to conformity in gregarious animals, is less tolerant than any system of law. When human beings are governed by "thou shalt not", the individual can practise a certain amount of eccentricity: when they are supposedly governed by "love" or "reason", he is under continuous pressure to make him behave and think in exactly the same way as everyone else.

George Orwell is my hero.

Gah, these sort of posts always need maintenance. Added new links, probably need to edit again in 24 hours after URLs die or get switched for shock pics

I don't think Ragnar deserved that, Link's a nancy elf, but then if you've watched the escapists "there will be brawl" you'll know link is actually an alcoholic, who hates fairies, so i suppose it could fit
