I'm starting to model/paint My Imperial Guards.
I'll use them with in IG codex till I get Daemon Hunter Codex.

I have now following,
*Cadian shock troop
*Leman Russ
*Empire Battle Wizard
*Empire Flagellant

With these I'm going to make my original "Detachment D-72"
Fruff(I'll add more later)
"D-72 is following one inquisitor lord who is on secret mission.
D-72 were 72 th Cadian Armoured Regiment. But after deadly campaign they sanctioned by Inquisitors to fight."

I'll start "Empire Battle Wizard" first.
He will become "Primaris Psyker"

Then I'll model "psyker battle squad" with using "Empire Flagellant"

After that,I'll make paint cadian/russ into inquisitorial color.

Then....if I have spare parts I'll make "inquisitor lord".

I'll add picture here when proceed.


If there is anyone try make "psyker battle squad" and "Primaris Psyker" by conversion?
I'll happy to see them. And I would steal your idea

hey I've done the pysker battle squad from empire flaggelent conversion but I'm at work so no pics. Its actually really easy I did two things mainly. added some extra bits from the cadian sprues like pistols to give them a 4k feel. Also I cut off the flames from the torches in the flaggenent boxed set and green stuffed them into the heads of the guys in various different postures so it looks like they are conjuring flame. Aslo if you can get an adeptus arbites model they make great overseers I think.

I have an almost done Inquisitoral IG army myself, but its not heavily converted. Using mostly storm troopers for my pcs, ccs, and most vet squads, while I I have necromunda escher gangers as shotgun wieldling vets and basic lasgunners.

I'll ask my friend to take some pics and email them to me. I just moved and wasn't able to transport all my armies with me don't have storage in the new apt. Just have my sisters on my currently.

While I haven't done it myself, Migsula used some LotR Nagul on foot in one or two of his Inquisitor bands in a way that I think would really lend itself to making a PBS out of them. While I was putting my IG army together, I was planning on making my PBS that way, but never got around to it.

As for more 40k like things, maybe some purity seals? or runes/wards to protect him from the horrors of the warp. Also maybe some kind of cranial implate like a few wires in the head. Bionic eye?

Thats looking good so far, as for 40k stuff, and =I= and an wouldn't do any harm. Even painted on the scroll work/fabric would give it a 40k feel.

BTW,I'm facing flagellant box.
Its too much smell of heresy and they carry too much close combat weapons.
How should I do convert them?

I know there is background about "Penitent". I think this might allow them exist as "psyker battle squad in detachment"

Either use a mono-strand copper wire, or a piece of guitar string. Either of those work well. Just drill a shallow hole in the two places you want the wire to connect.

"Penitent" as Pysker Battlesquad.
This Las-Pistol is made from Lasgun.
I'm now lack of pistol so I did this.

They "were" rouge psyker,they serve now inquisitor lord to repent thier sins

Great stuff! they're going to look great when you're done. i'd use laspistols and stay away from lasguns, but other than that the equipment is looking good as well.

Your on a solid path so this should be fun to watch!

Like the wizard/pysker conversion been thinking of doing something similar.

no. Use what you've got!

Good stuff here thats definitely an evocative way to make penitent psykers. Later on you could move the guys with Lasguns out into a Penal Legion Squad as well if you wanted.

That looks great! A good paintjob and he'll really stand out on the battlefield. Any ideas as to the scheme yet?

I have 2 scheme.
Both are inquisitorial color.

For Shock Troops and inquisitor lord

One is black/red. Black for armor red for cloth.

Another is Black for armor,white for cloth,red trim cloth.

I cant decide yet.

For Psykers....it depend on inquisitor.

Black & White is always striking but Black & Red would be easier to paint.....

Go for Red cloth black armour, because I have done black, white with red trim, lol

I'm looking for conversion idea for cadian shock troops to make "more inquisitorial" looks like.
Around me,so many cadians. Almost all IG player use cadians. So I want to make them bit diffrent.
I'm thinking about lasgun conversion already.I'll shorten them.
Any other idea for conversion? For face,body,equipment?
