OK, so I have accepted a commission for an Apocalypse-sized Nurgle army commission recently and am starting a blog of the progress to show the customer (and you guys) what's going on with it. Both to easily relate shots to the customer and to help get feedback/encouragement from you guys!

First off is deciding what color scheme to do. I have painted up 3 preliminary models to pick from in the basic colors(definitely not finished with them).

Here they are....

#1

#2

#3

I have to say I really hate these models and found it hard to do a good job on them (even just the basic colors) and am really glad the customer wants to use the FW Death Guard models. Which are much more detailed and less globby crap. lol

Let me know what you guys think!

Just wanted to say, this should be in blogs, though it's pobably just a mistake. Anyway, I love the rust. This should be a great army.

I love how the vivid purple contrasts with the armour. The only critism I have to make are the eyes. They should be a red or maybe that purple that we see on the pipes.

Yeah, number two wasn't very good. I would have picked the third one as well.

Two color death guard never work :/

I like the black, but not so much of it and not for the midle. It takes away the effect of a disease riden flea-bag and makes him look like an over eater in power armour.

I like the last one except for the green power cables.

Great, except #2 has a bit too much gray IMO. Maybe add some splotches of the green to make it look like the paint has worn away?

Cool stuff. The 3rd one has what looks like a thin layer of dirt and filth on everything. How do you get that effect.

Drybrush? Am I right? Also possibly a grimy wash.

Strategic airbrush use.

Inboud...

Yeah, I'd have picked #3- my only dislike is the green power cabals; I prefer the rusty ones of #2.

Can't wait to see some great Nurgle conversions though! Got anything special planned?

Perhaps some vehicle interiors and converting the vehicles to match the FW Deathguard doors. It all depends upon what the client wants (and will pay for! lol).
