At first this was put together with the idea of running these guys through my opponent's army but I'm not so sure of that tactic anymore. Don't know about putting so few marine into close combat with another squad that will more than likely outnumber my guys.

Planning on putting plamas in the first attack squad because of the apothecary, would have to test it out though. Any other ideas?

Plasma guns in the 1st squad would definitely be good.

Get the two assault cannon speeders (currently in FA choices) as troop choices, by adding them to your Ravenwing Attack Squadrons. That way you get scoring vehicles (the only ones in any codex, AFAIK!) as well as letting you run the FA speeders singly rather than in squadrons.

Personally I'd be inclined to have one squad (the command squad) with 2 plasmas, another with 2 meltas, and another with 2 flamers (or perhaps a further 2 plasmas -- in which case, keep them within apothecary range -- or a further 2 meltas), though other people swear by mixed weaponry.

I agree with Ian. I always put plasma in the command squad so you can benefit most from Apothecary. Payin the points for him- might as well benefit most.
Also, you might consider giving Vet. Sgt. in command squad a power fist- only 5 points more if you drop power sword and meltabombs. Thus benefiting for the extra attack from the banner.
I would suggest twin melta in one squad and twin flamers in the other. I roasted a 10 man eldar pathfinder squad in cover with twin flamers once- very satisfying - but a melta gun would have left 6 guys alive- well five anyway! then you have a tank hunter team and a coverbustin infantry blaster.
Also, I have had very poor luck with my landspeeders- you might consider dropping them for another three bikes plus attack bike! Just a thought
Good hunting.
