I'm SURE this must have been noticed before, but I only just found out, so it's news to me...

GW seems to have put up the rulebooks from various out of print and supplemental games for download from their website. You can get Adeptus Titanicus, Mighty Empires, Dungeonbowl, Dark Future, plus various WD one off games, like Pit Fighter and Bommerz Over Da Sulphur River.

Kinda odd for GW, but hey....

Yeah, they've been there for a long while (since the new site design was completed basically) and before that most of them were free on specialist games site.

But yeah, its awesome they're there

Nice. I've always wanted to play the Brewhouse Brawl.

How are the other ones? I only know most of them from the ramblings of the old shopkeeper.

I would really like to get my hands on the GorkaMorka expansions though.

But no Warhammer Quest? Oh, well. Maybe that will be the next mystery box.

I still have the original Brewhouse Brawl. Card pieces and everything.

I was just talking about Gorkamorka though! I'd love to see the expansion put out online. And some pdfs of the templates.

I never understood why GW made GorkaMorka a separate game, rather than releasing it as a vehicle & Orks expansion to Necromunda. The systems were so similar it would have worked.

Hmmm... I would argue that. Gorkamorka was open battlefield, and vehicle oriented. The similarities were that they both used the 2nd edition 40K rules.

I can tell you for a fact those are NOT the Original Adeptus Titanicus rules. No Jump Packs or Chameleoline for one... not weights for another.

*pets his copy* Still precious.

I think that the expansion to the GOrkaMorka game was a pretty good branch for Necromuna, and the rules rather meshed well with the Ash Waste Nomads you saw in Necromunda Mag.

Releasing the Gorkamorka rules as a Necromunda expansion would limit the possibilities of the new models. Yes, they were basically the same, but +vehicles. However the necro fluff would've been difficult to shoehorn Orks into, and the model range was excellent for expanding 40k Ork armies. Therefore the Range got dual use as Gorkamorka and as the Ork fast attack section. It's doubtfui to me that they would've sold as many models as they did if the range was just a Necromunda expansion.

I've known they've been on their for a while, but this reminds me-I really should print out those Adeptus Titanicus rules . *Skips away to make titans*

Also, this might sound a bit odd, but Leggy IRL is your name Roland?

Grateful as I am for them putting this stuff up for free, there seems to be no rationale for what is choosed, I mean Dark Future?! It would be nice if they could put up the Digganob expansion for Gorkamorka, and perhaps Warhammer Quest?

Yes, I printed off the Mordheim rules a few months ago and played a couple of games with some spare warhammer models. Good distraction from painting

I understand Dark Future was put up because someone form the Bristol club (Andy Taylor?) scanned the rules for them and asked them to put it up.

I think the Adeptus Titanicus rules are the Titan Legions rules-set.

They were close enough though that it was possible to merge them without too many tweaks being needed... We ran a game of Necro Gang vs Gorkamorka mob once, just to see how it would work.

And? How did it work? Some obvious drawbacks for one faction?

From memory, my Eschers kicked some serious greenskin butt...

Beyond that, it was, what? 10 years ago? I don't recall there being any serious issues, just that the vehicles were rather fragile, which wound up being a bit of a handicap for the Orks.

You know its really sad that Bloodbowl 7's is better produced than the new living rulebook.

What exactly is Blood Bowl 7's? I haven't got the time to read the rules so far. Is it any different from normal Blood Bowl?

BB7 is just a particular edition of the BB rules.

I seem to remember there being a blurb somewhere in Gorkamorka about it and Necromunda being the first in a series of Skirmish games, with more and varied rules being added to each one, ultimately giving all races a gang/mob equivalent to face off against each other? Might be imagining this. The memory isn't what is it was (and it was pretty crap even when it was)

Good to know.

I think I'll give Dark Future a read. Sounds like fun.

You can't really play Dark Future without a boxload of parts (like the road for a start).

If you did have the parts it was still pretty difficult to play. Very strange game.

because everyone that was involved with the game left GW, or went on to other greats like 3d edition.

Specialist games was then set up to deal with these games, where incidently mouthpiece Jervis was shelved to shut him up for awhile till the drugs kicked in.\

Then we saw how that went.

I wish they'd put up the rules for Man o War. But isn't there a rumour that along with Warhammer Quest they lost the original files when moving office? Warhammer Quest could be trick to put online because of all the floor templates. But boy, would I like the rules for Man O War.
