Wow that seems rather drastic. By all means, give her a stern talking to or make her clean it up after class, but arresting her is taking it way too far. It seems they went a little over the top in trying to make an example of her.

Wow. Excuse my nerdrage. I can;t believe that any judge wouldn't throw out right away. It's even more unbelievable that she actually got a sentence for this.
On a side note, the kid kinda looks like a really young Angalena Jolie.

At least in the UK the police would be too busy arresting motorists for driving a tad too fast to attend a 999 call of this obviously staggering criminality.
The one bright side to this issue is that she will be so jadded to the school system she will most likely drop out. There is always a need for Waffle House Waitresses and day shift strippers.
