So recently, I heard of of AVP 3, this is a huge deal for me as I am a huge fan of the series, played the original for a while. I also learned about mass effect 2. I loved the first

one with my heart n soul. The problem is the details and the "romance" scenes and the fact that I've heard there practically mandatory for the game to finish in a good way.

The problem is a) I can only buy one game per month b) only have money for one c) my mom is one of these people that shields my eyes at the first sign of sexual content

>_< im 14. My mom doesnt mind violence too much but sexual content has a possibility of my shiny new game being tossed out of the house. Meaning no cash for gaming, Girlfriend, or friends and such.

So which game should I buy? I love the AVP series so much. But Mass effect Ive only heard good things.

you dont have to engage in any romance. just loyalty. besides there more romantic the sexy. but then again i just engaged in two.

Aren't you a bit young to be playing either of them? The romances in ME2 are a fairly important part of the character development, so it's best not to avoid them, and AVP is *extremely* violent. It's like Mortal Kombat in first person.

Before anyone jumps on me for only being 16, the maximum game rating here is MA15+. A lot of games rated 18/16+ in the UK/US are MA15+.

and besides i see it as being a big letdown.

Mass Effect 2 is a very soft M, I believe. There's a bit of language, and a few awkward sexual moments (Those who have played through the Samara loyalty mission successfully know what I'm talking about) but otherwise it's not bad. As for Subject Zero, as revealing as her outfit is, you won't be able to even tell unless you really look at it. She's so covered in tattoos that you probably won't notice at first. Heck, I barely noticed that she wasn't wearing much until halfway through the process of receiving her loyalty mission.

It's definitely got enough to warrant an M rating, but it's not even remotely as bad as some other M-rated games out there. Can't say much about AVP (Not a fan of the series in general) but I can give a strong recommendation for Mass Effect 2.

Well it's actually pretty damn bloody now and the romance scene with Miranda is very... well, passionate.

Of course, if you're nailing Miranda and not Tali, you're doing it wrong.

When I was but a wee whelp, I was born in the middle of lightnin' and tunder! At the tender age o' 2 an' a half seasons I bore witness to the film 'Jurassic Park'! Some say that watching that film at such an age drove me mad, but I say they be the ones that r' crazy!

Go play Ratchet and Clank or...something.

(As much as I like ME2, it got enough sexual tension to tick your mum off, so it may be safer to go with the all-violent-non-sexual (as far as I know. ) game that is AVP)

Get Dragon Age:Origins. No sexual content there, plus they kept the amount of blood to a tasteful level. In addition, the dwarf storyline is just cool and clean and not horrifying.

You didn't see the sex scenes?

The sexual scenes in Mass Effect are no more revealing than the ones you would see on CSI when you're flipping through channels.

I'd go with ME2. I know it is epic, and has some decent replayability.

AvP is really fun multiplayer, and I am confident the single player campaign will have some good to offer but it might not be for everyone. And of course, I am not sure yet because it isn't out.

Back to the mommy issues. In AvP you can put your fingers through the eyes of humans and then twist their heads off of their body, or stick your tail spike through their abdomen and up through their head and mouth, or take a chunk out of their head with your second xenomorph mouth.. Should sex be your mother's concern?

Don't worry the "Romance" scene doesn't really show you anything, (unless your mom won't even let you watch people in pants and bra's).

Iv been playing m rated games for like 6-7 years.
im just perfectly fine. but that was back when graphic sucks and you couldnt really see any blood lol.

Well, she *was* genetically engineered...but yes, they both do have some fantastic bods. Especially Miranda's alternate costume.
