looking to tune a Black Templar list, first time building one, but having a glance over the rules, these guys look like fun, any tips are welcomed, looking to make an all rounder. this list has 3 melta guns and 4 multi meltas, 3 scoring units with 10+ bodies in each squad.
the plan is to have the Champion tag along with one of the Crusader Squads, while the Marshal jumps in with the Terminators, then everything rolls forward to bring the 52 bodies into range, thinking of outfitting the Crusaders Squads with Bolt Pistols and CCW for an extra punch in close combat. I can already see my list is missing range, but the av14 all round should help nullify that, and with blessed hull the LR get to ignore the effects of Lance Weapons(av is always counted as 14). the list seems a bit slow to me, but I don't know where to turn without softening it up a bit.

my thoughts exactly, thought at that level of play I would run into my fair share of Bright/Dark Lances so the boats would roll across mostly unharmed and let the terms and what not have fun among the squishy troops.

Drop unnecessary equipment on marshall. No templar player would take a master-crafted weapon, since you already have rerolls.
Remember your storm shield is not 3+ isv, but 4+isv old version. No need to take many.
Since your target is not to die(instead of crushing your enemies), you could take smaller troop units and more LR chasis.

How many points is that total?
While it would make my DE said for not having an easy game....
In 1850, I can fit 15 dark lances and 20 blasters.
I can move 12" and shoot my lances, and I can move 24" flat out to stay away from your lumbering land raiders. It looks like you have meltas and...any other ranged firepower? You've got a decent anti-eldar/DE list here and I'm going to spend the whole game playing keep away while trying to glance your vehicles to death.
Against other armies, you're going to suffer. Space Wolves with all THEIR melta and rending auto-cannons. Tau with their broadside suits and twin-linked railguns. Every other army with fast moving melta or multi-melta. You've got a defensive army that can shrug off small arms fire (and medium arms fire) and ignore lance weapons, but a real weakness to everything else because of your extremely limited target saturation.
If I can weapon destroy, shake and stun your land raiders...I'm happy as a peach. It'll take some rolling 6s to glance, but the rest is gravy because I can split up your mobile fortresses, take away your ability to fire at me and keep my extreme mobility. Sooner or later you'll get out or get glanced to death out, and then those dark lances and blasters will go to work on the squishy insides. =p

I'd look at dropping 1 or 2 LRC's and swapping in some rhinos in their place using the leftovers to get some vindicators or other suitable heavy ranged firepower

I played a few games the other night with BT, and learned to take one LRC just isn't enough, it gets ignored and the rest of the list gets opened up for it. I can't think of a better way to roll my scoring units over onto an objective, my game against Dash showed me just how nasty Blessed Hulls can be, Dark Lances bouncing left and right, got to fight against some Terv spam and learn just how tough a LRC is against those S5 MC attacks, they again just bounced off all round 14, and also how useful the Vindicators and Land Speeders are, giving my list some flexibility. I haven't tried the Dreads yet, but these are the old Drop Pod rules, so they come on after the 2nd turn, this will force lists that hunker down in a corner to try and snipe at me, to move around or risk being hit with my DP dreads. any more C&C is greatly welcomed.
