They look nice for kitbashes, though I would wash the metal areas to give them a little more defenition.

Yup, nice, but definitely need some washes to look more grubby (the wash will also bring out the detail nicely). Personally I'd also put them on bigger bases to match the new GW Kan models - that will avoid game arguments with opponents, and avoid the current 'only just squeezed onto the base' look..

The metal areas need a bit more detail. One area in particular is the rocket launcher on one of them. The missiles are the same color as the launcher. Also be sure to paint that big mek, he'll give you terrible roles otherwise

Great idea for the kitbash, what did you use for the body of the kans?

I think their great, they do the job. Making them dirtier and more ork like could only make them better.

I can definitely appreciate some defeated Tau having their suits ripped apart and scavenged for parts.

They appear to have one too many weapon each, but otherwise a nice build.

I would agree that a wash would help them enormously. I'd just run a coat of Devlan Mud over the whole thing. That will give definition and some grime to the metal bits, and dirty up the yellow a little.
