does anyone know of something that can be used in place of green stuff? I personally find green stuff to be very usefull but all so very expensive if you are going to be using it on a large amount of models. Any alternatives people could think of would be greatly apperciated

This question has been asked a lot an you could easily find an answer by searching around for green stuff. You might find such articles as:

or this one where hot glue sticks were used:

There are various two part epoxy putties available such as Milliput and Brown Stuff. There are also some one part putties on the market, such as Squadron Putty.

Here is a page about modelling putties.

Green Stuff is Kneadatite and can be bought in larger quantities at lower prices than GW sell it for. Brown Stuff can be got from Heresy Miniatures, and no doubt other places too.

Different putties have different characteristics and some of them can be mixed to produce intermediate characteristics. Don't do that without advice.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Gale force 9 do both Green and Grey stuff - you get 100g for £10 IIRC. Grey stuff is pretty much the same as green stuff, except you can mix it in different amounts to make it harder/softer.

On ebay you can get some good deals such as this one (36 inches for £11 total) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Green-Stuff-Kneadatite-36-inches_W0QQitemZ250494405809QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Toys_Wargames_RL?hash=item3a52a14cb1

Lok-tite has an acceptable epoxy you can get at Lowe's. It's in their paint/caulk section. Costs like 4 bucks. It's not the easiest stuff to work with when it's mixed (It's pretty sticky) but it cures to an awesome hardness and sands/cuts/drills fantastically well.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

Procreate. That suff rocks. If you put superglue on it, it becomes rock hard in less than five minutes.

Yeah I second the Procreate. I like greenstuff a little better but for big stuff it's awsome and pretty cheap.
Milliput works pretty good to though.
