I can't remember everything from the Tyranid list so ill do my best to describe them. And i can't remeber what all the weapons they had were called so sorry if it messes some of ya'll up.
HQ
Had 3 hive guard accompaning a toughness 4 leader (was proxied by a hive guard model).

Doom of Malantai (not sure if its an HQ but im putting it here) in a pod.

Elite
6 Warriors with various upgrades in a pod

Troops
7 Genestealers

9 Genestealers

Game was Capture and Control with Spearhead deployment. We rolled to see who go first, he won but let me go first.
Deployment
Ravagers on each flank. One Raider Squad was next to my HQ. Archon, Wytches, and 3 Raider Squads in the middle of my deployment ready to charge his HQ.
Tyranids deploy the Genestealers on the flanks in cover. The Hive Guards and the weird HQ dude sat on their own objective. Warriors and Malantai sit in reserves.
Tyranids fail to steal initiative

Turn 1 Dark Eldar
I move everything up some except for the Raider Squad sitting on my HQ. Both Ravagers shoot at the Genestealer squads and kill 5 total. Shooting from Dark Lances kills one Hive Guard and the weird toughness 4 guy that was with them. Plotting on who to enslave first.

Turn 1 Tyranids
Shoots at my Wytch Raider with Hive Guard with a strength 8 gun thingy and blows up it's Dark Lance. Doesn't do anything else. Isn't a very happy camper over his current situation.

Turn 2 Dark Eldar
Same stuff moves upward. Ravagers shoot at the Genestealers and kill more of them. A Dark Lance kills another Hive guard. In the assualt phase my Wytches and Archon charge the last Hive guard and kills him. I fail to enslave him. Boo.

Turn 2 Tyranids
Malantai comes in and lands in the middle of 2 Raiders. Does some Leech thing that has me take a LD check on 3D6. Pass one and fail another one by two. The pod shots 2 strength 6 shots at a Raider and wrecks it. Malantai shoots a big blast on top of the warriors who were in the raider and kills them off. Complaining ensues on how his codex broken.

Turn 3 Dark Eldar
Moved my army around so Leech thingy doesn't get me during the shooting phase. Flat out a Raider Squad to steal his HQ. First Dark Lance shot at Malantai kills it (rolled a 1 for invulnerable save). Tyranid guy gets angrier. Another Dark Lance is shot at his pod and instantly kills it. Nothing is left on the field and the Tyranid guy concedes.

After the game he went on complaining about how the new book for Tyranids sucks and broke the arms off his Warriors. Was very annoying.

WTF is that T4 HQ? the only T4 HQ in this codex is the parasite of mortrex ,it is a jump infantry IC ,and he attached it to the hive guard unit, for what? then voluntary take an instant death blow instead of a normal hive guard ,which he doesnt have any kind of sv for it !? if that is ture ,this guy has some serious problem with logic thinking.

I guess thats what it is. When i did kill the guard, he took the one that kept the full squad in coherentcy, because he set the group up to where they were in a line. So the HQ was more than 2inches away from the other two guard. So i shot it when it was alone and killed it.

Worst Tyranid player I've ever seen. Why did he need two squads of Genestealers? (which in my view are overpriced as Tyranids go considering how cheap most things are in the Tyranid army) He'd have been better off with a Tervigon to spawn Termagants and a HQ that can't be Instant Deathed so easily. I'm no Tyranid player but I have played against them countless times and comparing this army to what I've played (and admittedly been occasionally thrashed by) this army is absolutely rubbish!

Umm... wow. Seriously, that Gribbly player needs to up his act. The only thing I really need to go on about is the darn unit selection- that explains the tactics.
-Stealers? In a 1000 point game with no gaunts? Eh? Sure Stealers are awesome and all, but come on! What was he thinking? For Stealers to stand at the beginning of the game in plain view... it's just asking fer a pasting! What that guy should have done is got those Warriors outta that spore (which are troops choices now btw) and then stuffed all the stealers in one unit into it. Strike em just in the rear of the enemy troops... and bang! And those babies could even take out the RAvagers with their awesome rending and darn evil speed. Sure, they'd be ripped apart by gunshots, but they'dve cut apart a huge amount before then. Bad usage indeed.
-Warriors- As far as I know hey could be passable. I'd need to see their weapons to describe their roles. Jacksonhighlander, could you give me a quick rundown of what th weapons looked like if you can remember? If he was worth half his salt he would have packed some VC's to rip those tanks up.
The rest- I have no real idea. Just a horrible matchup I'm afraid.
Sorry, nid-player if you're reading this. I don't wanna be a flamer (why be a s4 ap5 weapon?) but that guy needs to get better.

Both Venom Cannons and Barbed Stranglers are reasonably good. He should have used them better though and got them out of that pod.

Not that it seemed to matter much considering how the game played out, but i thought I'd point out that the RJB counts as part of your wargear point allotment which puts you over by 10.
