I have recently started back into the hobby, i started this army four years ago and only had two models painted up until a couple months ago. I resculpted most of the minis (my original list was an Alaitoc ranger army) to fit the new codex. I would love some opinions, good and Bad. If you like .... I have all the pics in better clarity in my gallery, stop and check them out. I was going to post the finished army in the army section, still working on three more units and another "prism" though, hopefully finished in a month or so. Your painting is near flawless. Jaw-droppingly good, actually.

If I had to make a critique, it would be that some of the clothes on the waists of the guardians are a little thick. The fabric seems just a little bulky to me. However, this is very minor and these are exquisite.

Wow... I like the coherent (and very well executed) paint scheme and the conversions. They have a very unique look, not wood elves in space. Very nice! What will you be using for jetbikes?

Using a Slaanesh lord to represent your lord is just evil though

You guys just made my day man !!! I appreciate the feedback !!! I was a little leary about the Slaanesh lord body, but it was the Eldar that brought Slaanesh into existance ... that's why I chose it. For the jet bikes I am using the new Dark Elf Cold Ones, ..... BUT I am chopping the arms off and trimming down the new Tyranid Gargoyle wings .... I think it will fit perfectly with the Wyverns (and justify the Jetbike ability). I am going to use the scopes off of the Dire Avenger catapults and some sculpting to make the Dark elf spears look more modern. My whole theory on this Army was to make it a little more 40k than most that I've seen.

A really BEAUTIFUL army.

I don't like the body of your "avatar's" serpent. The torso bit looks... really off. Other then that, it's absolutely beautiful in every possible way.

I really like the conversions but I agree with fafnir. The bottom of the upper portion for the body looks off. It may be the angle but it just seems weird.

I really like the muted paint scheme you have though, simply amazing.

I do plan on adding another "prism". I'm painting it right now. I am also adding in some shining spears as well. i am converting them out of the new Dark elf cold ones, Tyranid Gargoyle wings, and Dire avengers. I'm planning on chopping off the arms and giving them wings, They should come out looking like mini versions of my "prisms". I do agree that in the pics of my "avatar" the torso looks a bit off. It is a bad angle. It looks a lot better from other angles. Bad choice in pic. I appreciate all the response guys.

Your painting style is very clean, which is honestly the hardest thing to pull off. Congratz on some killer looking models. As much as I like your proxies becareful, you don't want you opponent getting confused or frustrated because you are proxying so many models. Your proxies though very creative are not intuitive so be warned that may become an issue. Other than that it looks fantastic I hope it is as much fun to play as it is to look at.

I really appreciate all the feedback. I promise the Spears are coming, been busy with commissions and life in General. The army is a blast to play with, though for an Eldar army, it isn't as mobile as I would like. I am thinking of dropping a unit of Pathfinders and adding in some bikes to back up the Spears.

How do they perform on the table, they are quite a small army

They have performed well in most cases, and not so well in others (due to bad decisions on my part). I have had great success against Chaos, and about 50/50 against most other armies. I played against my friends Space Wolves the other day (Capture and Control) and that ended up in a tie. My favorite part of that was when my Royal Guardians (Dire Avengers) took out his Rune Priest in close combat before the priest even had a chance to attack back. I really need to add some bikes to it though. I am not Mobile enough. I plan on adding 5 Spears and 5 Jetbikes soon. I have posted a couple BatReps of them go to http://phantomminis.blogspot.com if you want to read some of the past battles, they are all Eldar on Eldar though. It's been a litttle narrative campaign my friend Brandon and I have been playing out.

Probably not the best place to talk about it, but I like the spears idea, but if you run 5 GJB I'd run 6 for 2 cannons. If you do smaller squad, 3+Jetlock would be effective too. If you ever want to try VASSAL to playtest for fun, I'd be happy to when I'm off work.

That sounds so eldary, it's unbelievable. I love this army and it looks so great! But how are you gonna model transports, fire dragons, howling banshees and the like? The one critism I have to make is that the torso on the first pic seems a little rough and bulky. Again, great job dude!

Zain: I was thinking about that, just gotta try and see where the points shift would work best. I am thinking of running my Dragon Knights as Striking Scorpions instead of Banshees as well. It would help on the mobility thing, and it makes more sense with the way the models look.

Munch Munch!: I am planning on adding transports, but not for a while (I've been aching to start a wolves army). When I do they will be similar to the Prism models. I was going to add some War Walker bitz to it to "count as" the energy shield. I will also have it carrying a small Wraithgate, that way it's like the troops are coming out of the webway instead of some other cooky means. As for the destroyed results, on a 5 the Wyvern would die, but the troops make it out of the Webway before it closes, on a 6 any casulties would be lost to the warp, instead of dying to an explosion. I want to add Fire Dragons too. I will probably model them like my Keepers of Dreams (Harlequins), but I will sculpt breather masks on them, and have them all holding fusion guns. They would be painted in the same scheme as the Royal Guardians, just without capes. I am currently running my Dragon Knights as Banshees but like I said above I am going to change it. I think they would fit better as Scorpions, especially since they look more armored than most other troops. I have found it quite silly that they have the same armor save as my Royal guardians.

That's a really great looking army you got there. Nice conversions, great colors, though there are a few things I don't like.

While I can see that you want to stay competive with a themed army and I like some of your proxys the Fire Prism just rubs me the wrong way. I just have difficulties imagening an Eldar with a lance riding a dragon being as powerful as a heavy tank.

What are the "Ach"? They look pretty cool.

While some of the smaller creatures look good, I really can't stand the old High Elf Dragon you use as a Wraithlord. It's just ugly imo.

I find that a good conversion or count as have to atleast be able be obvious to others of what they are supposed to represent.
Thus if you take away the description , will anyone actually be able to figure out what they are supposed to be?

That speaks for pretty much most of the models , so i dont think i need to get into them case by case.
