Some time ago there were pics posted of a 40k battlewagon that had been... widened. It started from the GW model and not a scratch build. I did a search but am unable to find it. Anyone know where they might have gotten off to?

That is cool. But the one I remember had the standard Battlewagon shield in front (no deathroller) which was also widened.

A friend also reminded me that there was a conversion where only the back was widened so that the tracks stood out and made the wagon look less top-heavy.

EDIT: Not the one I was originally looking for, but it's pretty cool and thought I'd share: http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30967

I'm glad you like this one.

If you check out the Meks Garage over at The Waaagh! forums, there's about a dozen "bigified" variants of the new BW going on. Look for DocNuk's version in particular, his was the inspiration for mine.

I know this is a very, very ancient thread, but I was searching for (what I believe is) the exact same thread Breotan was searching for and I came across THIS thread in the search but not the one he was looking for.

However, I did more digging and finally found what I was looking for (and likely what Breotan was too back then):

So I figured I'd add the 'answer' to this thread in case anyone else searches for the same thing.

Cheers to lemmingspawn (where has he gone?) for the amazing idea I plan to steal for my Battlewagon model.

...Thread necro out...

Sorry for the disturbance.

That... is most helpful. And where has LS gone? His Orky Defiler was incredibly inspiring. In fact, it's one of the reasons I started coming to Dakka in the first place.

I think the battlewagon Breotan was looking for is here. I don't know where it was on Dakka, but I remember seeing it.

Yackface and Iskandur, you guys are my new heros.

Quite the coincidence that I just ordered two more Battlewagons from GalaxyGobbo and was getting ready to give another go on the hunt for this stuff. Yay, serindipity.
