Use grey instead of flesh on the belly?
Seriously, it shouldn't be difficult. Primer dark grey. Drybrush with a couple lighter grays. Wash with Badb Black, or Devlan Mud, or a mix of both. Touch up the highlights & details.

All you need to do is paint the back, then the belly in the same colour, with just a little more white.
|

Joined the Military for Authentic Experience
|
I painted the back of my trolls midnight blue, and then drybrushed shadow grey onto it. Then I did a black ink over that. The belly starts graveyard earth then gets a highlight of bleached bone, then some skullwhite. A little bit of codex grey along where the belly meets the back helps him to blend together. It's quick and easy and I think it looks pretty okay.
