Soo, you've just bought that Plguedemon from Ultraforge or a Megadread from FW.

Now what?

Do you play with it as if it was just another model or was that a purely "for display" purchase? Does the fact that the Keeper of Secrets is humongously high and fragile matter to you? Would the size or complexity of a model discourage you from buying it?

And yes, by answering any of those questions, reading the thread or even looking at the title means you're taking part in market research.

It's more the bloody cost that discourages me from buying it.

I have a fair few large FW models, some I have bought for purely display purposes, others are for gaming. I would always recomend only gaming with people you trust to be careful with your miniatures. I certainly wouldn't rock up to my local GW with one of them, thats just asking for trouble!

I do find though, that more often than not my FW stuff is consigned to the display cabinet as it is too big/expensive (in game/point terms) for regular battles, so they only tend to get an outing when I have a game of Apocalypse lined up.

Pat that askala, O-H-I hate this stupid state

I bought the UF Vrok model and used him once as a DP and havent used him since. The reason i havent is because he is too fraking big. He looks amazing and everyone really liked the model but he has no where to get behind cover and not be seen. I think if he were about 2-3 inches shorter he would be perfect.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

The Price for me. Because i rather have 3 terminator squads than a Warhound Titan. So F--K that.

I use the smaller forgeworld squiggoth as a battlewagon. I don't mind that he's taller than the other one, and you can draw LOS between his legs. I just love the model.
Plus, big stompy feet and jaws>>>>>a bit spikey rolla for inflicting D6 S10 hits!
