I've recently download VASSAL, but I'm struggling to find the extra sprites etc for the new Tyranids, for example. I don't suppose anyone could link up the resources or something? It seems a pretty complex system to use, looks like I'll be wrestling with it for a while!

Because I'm pretty sure we can't link you those resources without possibly getting Dakka in trouble.

Ahaaa, I see. If that's the case I'll set aside an hour later and have another search. I did check google previously but was only led to numerous dead ends.

That link has some computer artwork drawn by an independent artist of what some tyranids look like.

Neither discourse of, nor directing to is legally contentious. Hosting potentially IP infringing software could be, but that's not an issue that dakka has.

How do you use that file to add the sprites? Not quite sure what to do with it.

Also, do you happen to know if there was ever a Space Wolves sprite release for 5e? The current one is pretty close, but I'm noticing a lack of a few character models (Only has Ulrik, Ragnar and Logan) and for whatever reason, one of the GH units is labeled as a "Totem," which I've been using to show a Standard-bearer.

Right click the 40k vassal mod in vassal and add extension.

If anyone wants help with Vassal and it's usage I'm on most evenings, I'd be happy to take anyone through exactly how things work. I'm sure others wouldn't mind either, heck, someone taught me, I can't be a total ass and not pass the teachings on. Jut ask if you see me on, happy to help.

Hmm, I'm having trouble connecting to anything at all on Vassal tonight. Are there server problems that anybody's aware of?

Server might just be down for maintenance or something.
