Hi, I just bought a Cadian command squad and wish to make a powerfist officer but the one that comes with the sprue is and open hand and is really hard to pose in the dynamic way I want it to as it's an open palm. I've seen lot's of pictures online of officers brandishing a clenched fist. Is it from some old sprue I've missed or is there a way to obtain one?

And no, the catachan arm isn't an option either.

If you simpply wish to extend the arm you need to cut at the elbow and fill with green stuff. If however you are after a clenched fist the metallic Cadian Lieutenant (i think) has one. Good luck!

Old metal officer models had clenched fists; it's probably those you're referring to. Most shops will probably still stock them; if not, ebay is your friend

Thanks, it's exactly as I expected. One last question though: Anyone know of any models using the new powerfist? I'm curious, considering I've never seen it in pictures. Not even the box has any model using it.

Now that I look at it, it seems it's meant to hold a gun or something.

I use the new powerfist on mine. There's a long tradition of GW powerfists in the open and closed position. I have 2nd and 4th edition plastic fists that are open handed, and one that is pointing, as well as a 4th edition fist that is clenched

It's not meant to hold anything, it just happens to be open.

No, you're definitely not the only one, it's just that once you accept the idea of a 200lb mechanical arm being bearable/wieldable by a human the odd finger position seems easier to swallow.

if you are after individual power fists then try bitz and kitz or bitz box.

Ps: Every pistol I've found so far is right-handed. The powerfist is also right-handed. Why? I have no idea since every other melee weapon is left-handed.

Either of these two left handed power fists should get you what you are looking for.

The catachan command squad box comes with four left arms with pistol grips in their hands. You can cut the hand off, attach it to a plasma pistol, and attach the whole lot to a cadian arm. Looks seamless if you do it right.
