Alright I am attending an upcoming GT and here is the list I am working with

185

Veterans
3 Meltas
Autocannon
Chimera
165

Veterans
3 Meltas
Autocannon
Chimera
165

Veterans
3 Flamers
Autocannon
Chimera
150

FAST ATTACK
Vendetta
130

Devil dog
Multi-melta

Devil dog
Multi-Melta
135

HEAVY SUPPORT
3 Hydras
225

Leman Russ Executioner
Plasma Sponsons
230

3 Basilisks
375

The only unit in here I have my heart set on is the basilisk battery. Every game they prove themselves to be decisive. I am taking devil dogs because I have little to deal with AV14 outside of veterans, so I will use them to hunt high armour targets. I have never actually used them before so I will be playing some test games and pay special attention to the devil dogs performance. Anyhow anyone see any glaring weaknesses?

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

I suggest you look to put those demolitions vets into the vendetta and dropping the chimera. Use the points to buy four special weapons (melta or plasma) for the CCS.

Otherwise, a good range. Edit: But your lacking str10 and your only fielding one vendetta @ 2kpts. Could pose a problem, could be redeemed by swapping one basilisk for a bastion-breacher Medusa (with two more bassies).

I don't see any glaring weaknesses. I would leave the vend empty so as not to confuse its role. The only problem I see is that the meltas have to get close while the AC's have good range. So you're going to shoot the AC's until the enemy gets in range of the meltas, or you're going to move up with the chim to get to melta range, leaving the AC's quiet. If you switched to GL's with one squad, you could give plasma to another. Or drop an AC or two and have dedicated meltawagons. Those weapons would at least be firing a little earlier than the meltas if static. The CCS does seem a little weak with no weapons, but not critical.

MeltaDemovets go into the vendetta. That's all I can see. Maybe consider a manticore as well?

Just out of curriosity, why do you have a Vet unit with 3 flamers, Chimera and an Auto cannon? Seems that the squad is multi-purposed at that point as an agressive unit witha defensive/stand-and-shoot weapon. Would it be better to either drop the Auto Cannon or Flamers?
