Inspired by the recent Tau tournament lists, and just for fun, I wanted to make a Farsight list. Equipping a Shas'vre bodyguard with the failsafe detonator, I noticed the wording was a bit confusing.

So, just a RAW vs RAI issue again, just checking to see if I'm reading it correctly.

As written:

"Every model hit takes a Str 8, AP - hit, and the character is removed as a casualty"

So do mult-wound models that get wounded and fail their armor save get removed? or just one wound?

I think this is yet another RAW vs RAI, but as written:

"Every model hit takes a Str 8, AP- hit and is removed as a casualty"

Does that mean multi wound models that fail their armor save die? or just take one wound?
Errm, reading the full rule can be helpful. The rule says "Every model takes a Str 8, AP- hit and the character is removed as a casualty". The models hit are hit/wounded/save as normal.

The guy with the failsafe dies. Automatically. Everyone else takes a S8, AP - wound. If they fail it, they lose a wound. If they only have one left or one originally, they die.

Well it's a STR 8 hit, so if it wounds and the model fails it save, and is T 4 or less, then yes it does instant kill them. It doesn't seem he's confused about the rest of it.
