like 56 termagaunts all on sprue with weapon options, 8 hormagaunts, and a carnifex with all weapon options on sprue. $140. that a good deal?

I'd bet you could find better pretty easily, but it's not a horrible deal or anything.

If you've got a local FLGS, ask if they do discounts on orders. My old FLGS gave 20% off GW website price, and my new one gives 10$ back on every 100 spent.
Then hit ebay, you'd be surprised at how good some of the deals you can get on there are.

Go for it! Your saving a bit that you can put towards a future purchase... whichever that may be!

Op , it depends .

For example ( yes contents are different but... )

A Battle force consisting of 43 models , abit off , but its gene stealers and warriors.
and a carnifex would total to : $150

Add a box of gaunts of $25 , totals to $175 USD , factor in the usual 20% off discount sites ,
you have exactly $140 , now lets compare contents.

With my sample you would get:
Total of

44 gaunts
8 gene stealers
3 warriors
1 carnifex
Not to mention around 3-4 ripper swarms.

Now lets look at it further ,
Its an choice for you really.

Do you want:

A)
20 gaunts $41.25

or

B)
8 genstealers $35
3 warriors $30
and 3 ripper swarms.

Now the gap looks even bigger doesnt it.

So at the end of the day , its a bad trade. Unless you only want gaunts.
