NOTE: I will add a paintshopped map of the battlefield soon
This is all going off memory so some bits may not be all there, and I did not have a camera so no pics. this is my first report and first time playing crons since about 2 years. I used alot of IG/tau models/bases to represent the necrons, as I have not yet finished my cron army.
Necron Bogdwellers
Night Bringer
Necron Lord w/ warscythe and veil of darkness
5x Immortals accompanying Lord
4x Flayed ones (all i had points left over for)
30x Warriors(Alpha, beta, charlie)
3x Destroyers
3x Wraiths
SM Ultramarines
Cato Sicarius
Librarian w/ termi armor, SS, two powers(the weakest ones, for my warriors I guess)
5x terminators accompanying Librarian
20x space marines - sgt.'s with power fists/ tele homers, each squad of 10 w/ 1ML
10x assault marines, sgt w/powersword
5x scouts w/ teleport homers/camo cloaks
2x dreadnoughts, 1 w/ multimelta/CCW, 1 w/ TL lascannon/CCW
1x Predator w/lascannon sponsons
3 objectives, 1 dead center, 1 far in northwest corner near edge, 1 in south west corner on border of SW corner and NE corner
Deployment
He wins, chooses northwest corner, I get southwest. My deployment was kinda of messy, the nightbringer was to far back, and my brothers cato was too far back.
Top of turn 1 - SM
combat squads the space marine squad alpha, alpha 1 moves to take center, alpha 2 goes along north border into NE corner making it's way to eastern obj. Beta stays together and goes around the center bjectives northside, and around the ruins near it, making way to east obj. dread nought advances slightly north of the marines, in the same path. Assault marines move 12'', they are about 10'' away from cron units. Beta/alpha 1 fire into warriors, score a few kills, which all get back up.
bottom of turn 1 - crons
alpha takes east objective. Beta half squad into cover, other half close enough to center to contest it. Charlie is behind beta. flayed ones move to the south of the center to intercept assault marines. destroyers back them up, but are a little too close to flayed ones(about 2.5''). Lord w/ immortals move toward SM beta. nightbringer is too far back and moves just behind the lord/immortals. wraiths move to attack scouts behind SM beta. All units fire 2 kills made(from SM beta). Wraiths assault scouts, killing 2, and losing one(he doesnt get up back up). forgot about flayed ones, a big mistake which i really regret.
top of turn 2 - SM
termies w/ librarian deepstrike to scouts. beta tries to fire on nightbringer. krak missile misses, and bolters too weak to touch nightbringer. alpha 1 fires at cron beta, 6 kills, 2 get back up next turn. assault marines move and manage to fire and assault into both the flayed ones and the destroyers. 1 flayed one is killed by pistols and gets back up. wraiths kills 1 more scout, no wounds dealt back. throughout turn dreads and tanks fired and got no kills or wounds. some other gak fired and got a few crons who didnt get up
bottom turn 2 - crons
beta moves so half are in cover, but trails the other three so it is still contesting center. charlie moves into cover just north of beta, necron lord fills in charlies spot, still out of assault range.charlies fires on the termies killing one, beta fires on SM alpha1 killing 3. wraith CC nothing happens, assaultmarines lose 1 in CC.
top of turn 3 - SM
alpha1 fires into cron beta, nothing happens. beta assaults lord/immortals killing 1 immortal losing 3 marines. tank/dreads fire on nightbringer, score 1 wound. termies/librarian shoot/assault into cover at crons beta&charlie, killing 2 from beta and 4 from charlie. flayed ones/SM CC killed 1 destoryer which got back up.
bottom of turn 3 - crons
alpha moves around to north side of objective and await arrival of SM alpha2. Nightbringer moves forward, then assaults into the rear of SM beta and immortals CC. all but the Sgt. die, sgt falls back gets caught in sweeping advance. lord/immortals move north above ruins / combat with 4'' consolidate. Nightbringer gets 1'' consolidate toward ruins CC. In the ruins, charlie is knocked down to 1 warrior remaining but doesnt fall back, beta gets down to 4. Assault marines drop another flayed one and take no wounds, no one falls back yet.
top of turn 4 - SM
cato moves six inches(finally!). most of the troops are in CC. Dreads/tank fire nothing happens. bad rolls lead to termies not scoring any wounds on charlies/beta crons. alhpa2 advances and is just shy of the 12'' rapid fire range. the CCsyeild 1 dead wraith and 1 dead flayed one w/no fall backs.
last turn due to store closing bottom of turn 4 - crons
alpha crons move and rapid fire SM alpha2 killing 3. lord/immortals fire on melta dreadnought and cause crew shaken. (MY TRIUMPHING MOMENT) Nightbringer assaults into termies, kills 3 termies and instant deaths the librarian then further CCs yield the death of the other two flayed ones and a destroyer with no fall backs.
Sotre was closing so we had to end the game a a "draW". My brother had a dreadnought only with in range of NW corners objective, which i felt was not a scoring unit. I hoestly dont know though.
In retrospect, I think i could have deployed better and moved my units better. the lack of scarabs was a big problem I think.
