Subject: GW US Customer Service - Anybody Able to Get Through Recently?

E-mail queries send you to the 800 number, which sends you to terminal voicemail or a busy signal. Been calling for two days.
Another fella said it took several days for him to get through recently also.
Anybody else experiencing slow response/poor accessibility from GW US Customer Service recently?
I've always heard people rave that it's the one part of GW's operations that work well but this isn't making me a believer.

Well, back in January it took me about a week. Did you try talking to the operator?

Not yet. All the e-mail stuff just keeps telling me to talk to a fella named Herd/Heard/Hurd/Hurt who must have a very full voicemail box.
Wondering if I took it the local GW (I bought at a non-GW store but have receipt) if they would sort me out.

Ok, do what I did: call customer service, and if it doesn't put you through to a rep, take the operator option: that got me through in only about 30 min on the phone.

Did you buy it online or what?
Because either way, they SHOULD fix the problem in-store. You just won't get the perk of possible free stuff.

Resolution: Local GW store - GW Springfield, VA (rocks!) swapped me out for the screwed up sprue. Was advised that Customer Service is not open on weekends----but I had e-mailed them on Thursday evening and was rerouted to call them since an e-mail with the details wasn't sufficient.
