Walkers move like infantry, 0-6" in the movement phase. Fast vehicles add 'a third level of speed' (12"-18") to 'the normal rules for vehicles' (0-6" and 6+-12"). Write some house rules for how it works.

Doesn't sound very likely as it is going to have a very high points cost. No one is going to want a dreadnaught with 2 CC weapons charging 18"

I would say no, for the reasons above.
Dreads get Drop pods to aid their ability to get into the fight, they don't need extra help.

If you want a faster walker then give it fleet. Even though it doesnt make it actually faster it gives it the impression of being faster.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

Adding fleet is a good idea. Keeps the rules sane and still fluffy.

Technically a Fast, Walker is possable.
It can simply move 12" instead of 6"
would be odd, but workable
