I'm well aware that alot of folks here on Dakka are not big fans of Country music, hell I'm not a big fan of Country music.
But I have to admit that some of it is just very good.
So I'm posting this thread to see just how much "Billy Bob" Dakkites have in them, any one have a "Country" tune they like?
Me,I love this sort of thing...

Does this count? yeah, I guess it does...

Just brilliant. I LOVE Glen Campbell.

I like this too:

I suppose they are both 'country-tinged' than 'country and western'.

"Hillbilly Bone" by Trace Adkins and Blake Shelton. That basically sums up where I live. It is a pretty good song though.

I like a lot of country music, but I'm not going to run out and buy most of it because of the availability of it in my area. The older music (i.e. Cash, Haggard, Milsap, Williams, etc...) in my opinion at least, is still good.

Willie Nelson's version of Blue Skies is money in the bank for me. I'm always up to hear that song.

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

Big Country! Better than any "country" music!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

@Albatross Yeah Bob Wills is technically Western Swing but Western Swing was really just country musics answer to big band swing. Hillbillies like to dance too!

I'm not much of a country music person, i just don't care for the style of it. That said, I do like some of Johnny Cash's stuff, and not just the later hipster stuff from the "American I-IV" albums (although his cover of NIN's Hurt is worthy of the hype it gets) but older stuff too like Walk the Line or Folsom Prison.

Also, sad to see no love for Dolly in this here thread
