It's cool that you posted this but GW didn't really give a sneak peak. Forge world has already shown all that on their site or in their news letter.
|
Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

I've not seen any page spreads, at all, or painted photos of a Venator.

The page spreads are no different them when they did the taros campagiain for the ellysians except they changed the colors. The squigoth is the same form their apoclpyse or whatever it was frist in. Painted no, but like I said a sneak peak could have been something new and not seen. It's not a knock against you just GW.

Considering that it sounds like there's no real "method to the madness" for MekBoy Junkas...I'd rather not see a kit, but see the mad ingenuity of some of the die-hard Ork players.

I wonder what a 'squiggoth' looks like as they listed the 'big' and 'gargantuan' ones.
I for one would like to see squiggoth cavalry to replace bikes for a snakebites army.

"Average" Squiggoths are slightly smaller than the "big" variety. Snakebite and Feral orks use Cyboars for Cav, not Squiggoths.

It looks like Forgeworld volumes are finally moving into the 21st century and adding backgrounds to their pages...as someone who owns (and has enjoyed) every IA book to date let me be the first to say:
IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!
Very psyched for IA8!

No?
They look like any real-world FAV equivalent.
British FAV.
.1.JPEG) Newer USMC FAV.
But this is pretty much the iconic FAV image nowadays.

The best explaination I've heard for the Mekboy Junka is that it is a way for Forgeworld to push some of their kits that might not be selling so well. For example, most players probably don't buy Forgeworld's deathroller anymore, since we have the plastic alternative from the Battlewagon upgrade sprue... but by jamming it onto what looks to me to be a bit of a hasty scratchbuild, and making rules for it, suddenly you generate a demand for their FW's resin deathrollers that are made to fit Rhino dimensions. Same goes for the Looted Rhino kit - it seems like a bit of a halfhearted attempt to breathe some life back into the sales of those particular products.
