Subject: Vehicles pivot in the shooting phase?

In editions past a vehicle that did not move could pivot in the shooting phase to bring guns to bear, and not have it count as moving. Our local metagame has not really been strict about enforcing this in 5th Edition but it came up in a game tonight... I'll be damned if I can find where it says you can do it in 5th Ed.
Can a vehicle that remained stationary in the movement phase pivot in the shooting phase?

I've looked for it before too and couldn't find it, but all the cool kids do it, and I would find it odd if someone objected to it.

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake. |

They can only pivot in the movement phase now. Pages 57 and 58 BRB

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Nope they can't. They can pivot in the MOVEMENT phase, not the shooting phase. Pivoting is not moving.

As above - they have changed when you can pivvot. ONly things which fight like infantry can pivot to shoot in the shooting phase.

Listed as being one of the advantages walkers have over other vehicles.
