Any unit can take Cybork (this is in his entry)

As a painboy, he confers FNP to the unit he is with.

So, to summarise: if he joins a unit, it gets FNP, but any unit in the army can take Cybork bodies for a set points cost (also in his entry)

Mad Dok only gives FNP to the squad he is attached to. He also gives that unit fearless, and has to assault the nearest enemy. He can upgrade any model in the army to cybork for 5pts/model.

If you are referring to the special character Mad Dok Grotsnik, which I think you may be, the 2010 Ork FAQ states the following.

Q. How many units in an army with Mad Dok
Grotsnik can be upgraded to have cybork
bodies? Are there any restrictions (apart from
non-vehicle) or can it even be Gretchin or
independent characters?

A. Any number of units can be upgraded. This
includes Gretchin (Super-Gretchin! Cool
conversions, but a bit expensive at 8 pts per
model!) and independent characters (except for
unique characters), effectively giving them a 5 pt
discount on the cybork body upgrade.

I think that should help answer your question...

Rule # 1 of infantry:
If you can't eat it or take it, break it.

Space Wolves: 4000 pts

Orks: 3000 pts

Tau: 1000 pts

I just had the thought cross my mind, due to what it states about the mad doc allowing any unit in the army to take cyborg parts, this disallows any kind of vehicle correct? However does this allow other HQ's, like weirdboyz and zogwort, to take them?

And HQs who can take them, like warbosses, to take them cheaper.
