Hi,

I picked up some Model Master DullCote #1560 which the vendor claims to be a European re-brand of the all famed Testors Dullcote #1160.

This is the result I have been getting:

A bit more glossy than what I would have expected.

Is it supposed to look like this or should I have a little chat with that vendor ?

OT, but it looks like they're having a conversation in the last pic.

The only Testor's Dull Coat that I've ever used has been in a spray can, not in a bottle. no Idea, but it looks a bit on the shiny side.

Looking closer at the bottle it looks like this is made by Italeri which I understand has worked closed together with Testers in the past. Of course that does not necessarily imply that they share formulas for their paints and varnishes =)

I only applied a very thin layer with a brush directly from the bottle and got this level of gloss. Doesn't look like the real deal to me as I understand that the Testors #1160 is completely flat and can even be used to dull down gloss.
