OK It has been clarified Spirit Leach will effect a fearless unit.

But Orks have the Mob Rules special rule which states leadership is equal to the number of models in the unit. Any unit that numbers over 10 is considered fearless.

Now for my question. Against DoM does a unit of >10 take the leadership test at 10 which is the highest Ld that the rule states, or does it drop down to the regular Ld of 7 because the unit is now fearless, or does it take the test at a Ld 30 because the Ld is equaled to the number of models?

I think it would be at LD 10 since you cant go above 10 in stats.

Yes, very Unkillable, when a Single Krak Missile can Cause it to lose all 10 wounds and RaW doesn't have an Invulnerable save.

Avg on 3d6 is going to be 11-12, so even if you do significantly worse than the norm, you're losing... maybe 4 Orks? And then the remaining squad assaults DoM and easily beats him to death since he's a T4 model?

It's a tyranid SC, and therefore should not have "of" anywhere in the name. It's against Tyranid principles.

Considering it is actually one of the very few ACTUALLY Unique Tyranids, rather than some form of Archetype, I think the name is very Fitting.

The Parasite of Mortrex is a little more annoying.

He is definitely killable. I figured out the trick is to hit first and hit hard. 27 orks took him out today. I passed the leadership test. He lost 3 wounds in shooting and the last one in CC.

Easiest way to kill him is to for one to read too much YMDC and forget he 'has' a 3++.

But as Gwar said he's T4 what's so tough
