Greetings fellow hobbyists,

i don't really have a high post count but i have been a regular visitor for quite some years now. At the moment some buddies and I are doing a sort of a "Tale of 4 gamers" like they used to do in the White dwarf. The only requirement is actually that we paint up around 250 points per month, because we all have day jobs etc.

I chose Eldar, and thought why not make a blog about it on Dakka Dakka, so i can get some friendly criticism and/or advice from the pro's.

I'm actually taking my time though, 'cause i want this army to be something special . Anyhow, time for some pics.

Howling Banshees:

One test Swooping Hawk:

One WIP wave serpent, personalized for the Howling Banshees:

Let me know what you guys think, in any case i'll keep this "blog" updated on a regular basis.

Next up for the painting table are 5 pathfinders and a unit of Striking scorpions i think.

Everyone is either speechless or looking for somewhere to critique you and coming up blank.

Awesome painting. The scenic bases are stunning.

Any plans for more personalised Aspect Wave Serpents? I'd worry about army cohesiveness, but they do look amazing.

Wow! What on earth do you have weighing the bases down? That's awesome!

Thanks for the comments everyone.

-I am thinking of doing a personalized Wave serpent for every aspect
-I used lead to weigh down the bases, i'll post the other 5 swooping hawks tonight, allthough they still need to be painted.
-I'll post my painted avatar aswell and some WIP guardians.

I chose this army actually for the diversity in colour schemes it offers, i hate having to paint the same things over and over.

Very interesting and original work. I like the utilization of cityfight style terrain pieces to tie the army together. I really like the Swooping Hawk idea, although it seems like gameplay may become difficult at times b/c of the height of the model. But, a very inspiring conversion.

Looking forward to more pics on this blog.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
