My girlfriend recently asked me, "what are you going to do with all these little guys?" That made me wonder, deep down inside, how many do I really have.

So I have a 12,501 pt. Chaos Marine army and an 1,850 pt. Chaos Daemon army. I need to stop; 12,000 pts is ridiculous. No one plays Apocalypse around here.

Now the Blood Angels are coming out. The guys that made me get into 40k in the first place.

Seriously though stuff you wont use ebay it and just put a cap on your spending. I allow myself one box/character a month plus paints glue as i need it, or if its a biggie like a land raider or something similarly expensive skip a month, oh and using discount websites is a great way to not feel so bad about spending

I sympathize man. But I would suggest either using the Dakka swap shop or batertown.com to trade off some of the chaos. You’ll lose a lot of value selling on Ebay and then using the money to buy NIB models or even other used models.

Yeah i did the same not too long ago. I just got rid of all my Hordes and A bunch of chaos stuff because Hordes isnt played close enough to make it worthwhile to travel an hour and a half to get maybe one game in. The chaos stuff was just lying around never used and got rid of most of it for MoAr OrKs. Now i have my armies at 2500 pts. Buuut the new Kanz beckon my name and it is a good thing i am low on funds otherwise i would have them.

I don't see the problem. I know one guy who had 10,000 points of IG, all painted, and had never played a game. Then he moved onto Nids and Orks.

Most of us don't like have thousands of dollars and weeks of our lives invested in things we aren't going to use. But to each his own.

12000 points lol, thats just sick lol. I guess it gives you lots of options to keep your opponents on their toes.

12 THOUSAND? Crikey. Go find yourself a bunch of friends and play a freaking Floor War game - heck, you can play your own side, get 6 buddies to play 2000 point lists against you and see how it goes.

Repaint your 12k army.

You're a poser. Most of us have over 50,000 points in unassembled plastic bits in large storage buckets that likely will never be fully assembled, painted, or used.

I can see how this happens,personaly,between forge world,converted CSM,old oop,and GW kits I have 20 full sqauds of Plauge Marines (I usualy use 4 in a game),20+ Death Guard terminators,7 Death Guard HQ choices,including 3 Daemon prince variations,plus a gak ton of plaugebears,nurglings & converted "zombie horde",along with various vehicles and dreadnoughts...AND.."True" Death Guard aren't even an opption any more..

And as for Orkz..I'm buried in them.
Fortunatly,my girlfriend is a very understanding woman..most of the time.

This is why I love magnetizing things. Cuts down on the need to have quite so many models. Though if what you really love is converting and painting, magnets may not save you ;-)

My wife asked me the same question, but I know the reason she asked is just an attempt to take control of my part of the shelves and to replace my stuff by her stuff...women can be evil sometimes, so don't ask yourself any questions, don't fall in the trap, Go on and buy the new blood angels, they are great!!!
