ok, i just started buying warriors of chaos because i love the style, the fluff, and the models. but ive only played a few games of warhammer fantasy, and that was some time ago. anyway, i liked it and i'm switching over from 40k for a while. what i was wondering was what should i buy to make the list fit with a khorne theme, i dont want to be ultra-competitive, i prefer fluffy armies to win at all costs armies. so far i have a unit of warriors with hand weapons and sheilds, and a khorne lord on juggernaught. i'll buy 2 more units of warriors in a few weeks and some knights but i was wondering what else is worth taking in this style of army.
help and ideas would be appreciated.

I would suggest some Marauders. They are great troops for their points.
Marauder horsemen were always my favorite. They have so many uses. I use to play Chaos a lot during 6th edition. Do horsemen still have flails available to them? If so I would say that is one of the single most useful items. Besides that, they look great.
If you field mostly warriors and knights, you will find yourself with a truly small army. Consider that, you will have a lack of deployment options, and will probably be outflanked.
I suggest a few cheaper but useful units. Such units include warhounds, marauders, and horsemen.

I run my "khorne" list have:
lord on jugger,mok, rending sword,
4-5 blocks of maurader horsemen, mok, flails,
dogs,
and a big old block of knights
this is very win big/lose big though.
but remember to play an army YOU like and take the units YOU like.

duly noted, but i don't particularly like the marauder models and the models are one of the main reasons im doing this.
now i know i'll have a very small army and be outnumbered and outflanked a lot, but as sevend3f just put it, it's my army and i can do what i like with it.
besides, i dont want to paint anything even slightly hord-y after my orks...

A pair of chariots would compliment your warriors nicely.

Maruader Horsemen figures look really good, and the units themselves are pretty effective. I wouldn't mark them as you'd need them to harass the enemy rather than just fly into an unwinnable fray. Throwing axes and flails. Zip up beside on the flank of your opponent's units, whip 5 axes, he'll either to face you in which case you move to his flank and repeat, or he'll soldier through being marched blocked and you keep whipping axes. Eventually, you can bring them in on the charge with the flails. Even with 3 guys you can negate ranks and win a combat. Musicians are a must. The banner and the champion points are better spent on your hard hitting warriors.
Chariots are awesome.
Spawn are great too. Forget about marking them though.
Dogs. You need the dogs to screen your guys, draw fire and march block his stuff. Dogs 2 units of 5 are OK. 3 is better.
Naked marauders with a musician are good too. You can field a big 15 guy or 20 guy unit with a musician for like 68 or 88 points (i'm thinking base cost is like 4 points per guy...i don't have th book with me) Total meatshield for the stuff that matters.

I dont like them either, so I use the Gors from my Beast army as slightly mutated marauders. I think those models looks way better
Btw, If you don't want to make a horde army and are worried about getting out manouvred, get some hounds! They are great for blocking and screening.
