Ok i shall explain.... well actually its quite simple they are fantastic models but if you look closely they have nipples on the armour. Why would the do that everyone know that nipples on armour is bad (thinks back to terrible batman film) Anyone else agree with me?

I, for one, welcome the nippled apocalypse which is to come.

THIS!

I happen to love 'em.

But perhaps that says more about me than anything else...

Actually I work for the development lab where the new body armor for the US military is being developed and we've included nipples and molded abs on the next design of body armor. The psychologists feel that including these design elements will help to erase the idea that most American infantry members are fat and over weight and will cause fear amongst our enemies.

I think anyone obsessing over the nipples on the armor is doing just that... obsessing.

The armor is Greco-Roman, and they put nipples on their muscle styled armor- its not a big deal unless you make it one. Just because you use the figures, and the figures have nipples on them doesn't mean anything other then that.

Besides, those figures are probably the best GW has produced in plastic. I had never intended to buy GW again- but its the sanguinary guard that have convinced me that one last purchase may be needed

Cool Job... but im not sure that abs and nipples really put that much fear into anyone..... the large gun in the hands of the wearer is a tad scarier.

Neither news nor a rumor. If you want to rant about nipples take it to the Discussion section. With the subject line, I took this to be a real issue that I wanted to investigate. Thanks for wasting my time.

Or really all that interesting, especially when, in a world of green stuff, bitz, entire plastic model lines and a wealth of potential conversions people are still utterly stumped by the prospect of plastic nipples.

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those that like nipples and those that don't.

This thread is lame. I mean, how often do you find yourself scraping off a mould line or a skull? How hard can it be for npples?

Again I refer you to the Mephiston model. That model is old as the hills, and has nipples on the armour. Dante's would probably have them too if they weren't covered by other detailing on his armour.

I think this subject's getting almost as many posts as there are complaints about Deep Striking Land Raiders It's really not needed, if you don't like them, file them off...

Besides, if we're lucky then this will set a precedent and should new SOB's come out, there will hopefully be a place for a nipple or two

This thread and other complaints about BA nipples are evidence for the opposite!

The nipples really aggravate me too. I spent ALL that time modeling nipples for my ork force and these damned BA's come pre-nipplized!

Ok im gunna stop you there. Im amazed anyone likes these models. Considering the quality of mini's that are being done by other complanys I really expected better from GW. Many people seem to like them but I really don't see why except for the reason "oooh, new mini's".

The new style of these mini's seems to go against the whole feel of what a SM is. Most of these models look like they should be in a gay parade.

I like my SM's to look like bad ass killers, not fancy dress looking weirdo's. The "wings" and gold style armor is just... spew*

My opinion anyway... sigh.

EDIT: A bit off topic, but $55AUS for 5 plastic space marines? I wonder if the box's come with a sticker that says "LOL SUCKER!". Sorry if Im sounds harsh. I get annoyed with GW easy.

I really like that they are differentiating the chapters. Especially coming from a Xenos player, the variant chapters have never looked much different than in color scheme. I'm happy to see some real character emerging in each chapter.
