I'm making a 10-man honour guard for my DIY chapter and i want them all to have Relic Blades.
So. . . what are the best looking weapons to equip them with?
(I'm not going to use the same weapon twice, one weapon per model)

For some season DA seem to have the nicest looking weapons IMHO
I really like the Ravenwing power sword it has a nice flared look at the tip. DA also seem to be the only marine sized models where you can get the maul/mace (you can egt them in the chaos termie packs as well)

Painted well, I like the Necron Pariah warscythe. Paint over the green rod with whatever your chapter's color is to make it looks like some kind of crackling energy rod.

nice.
i hadn't thought of the warsythe
and i'm not going to use an armies weapons twice.
(the mace is already in use in my army. My standerd bearer has it)
This can include wfb weapons too

Check out the WHFB plastic high elf hero's sword. It's very ornate looking; the dragonrider also has a nice sword.

Glaive from a grey Knight
Sword from DA ravenwing
Axe from SW termies
Curved sword with rings from the beastmen regiment
Sword from Dark elf Executioners
Hammer/Axe from Dwarf Longbeards
Sythe/ flail from flaggent warband
huge array of weapons from those on the high elf prince and noble box
Swords from Tomb Kings casket of souls
Help me whittle this list down a bit please or add to it

By trimming parts off Power Swords and scraping so that they look sharp again, you can make some very cool, neat looking swords. Personally, though, I wouldn't use more than 3 power axes because they are not as common as Power Swords. Urgh, this took me like 10 minutes to type (I can't type today!?! Lol)!

Ok thanks for the feedback.
But this is the Elitest (is that a word?) unit in my space marine DIY chapter, and space marines are the elites of the imperium so should get rarer weapons.
I'm going for variation though so if i can find 10 diferent weapon classes and find ten appropraitely awesome miniture arms then i'll use them

Yes ALL RELIC BLADES.
Its a display unit rather than a gaming one as a friend said i should make up so background and a datasheet for them. So now there the Scion's Guard (Scion being the replacement term for chapter master)
They're also going to have some sort of cloaks, I'm actualy converting some dark elf corsair cloaks to fit.

Hm. You could try the Black Sword from the Emperor's Champion. The arm it comes with also has some neat detailing on the pauldron, and the sword itself has some words engraved into it too. Just my two cents.
Also, it's enormous. I just measured it on my mini, and the thing's taller than the actual Champion.

Damn beat me to it, honestly the Black sword is probably the best example of a relic blade in existance right now, actually looks 2 handed even used to be ruled as 2 handed.
