You can upgrade one veteren from the command squad to a Company champion

He has a power weapon ,one combat shield and +1 ws.Does he still get to have his bolt pistol(I don't think he can receive the extra attack but maybe he can shoot in the shooting phase?)

Codex space marines page 100 / combat shield. => combat shield does not restrict attacks, hand is still free for a weapon.

So if he has a boltpistol, he can shoot it / gain a +1 attack.

Yes, he can use his Bolt Pistol AND gets an extra attack (if he has a 2nd CCW)

They answered all but this question:

If an upgrade entry says 'replaces his wargear with xxx items' or similar, then he loses all other gear and gains the new gear.

If it simply says 'gains xx items' or similar, then he keeps the old gear, ie bp / bolter, whatever.

It says..one veteran may be upgraded to a C.Champion.

And also can he take melta bombs ,plasma pistols etc...or just the other veterans?

If he is still classified as a "veteran".
